Been waiting for a good deal on a 2001fp for a good while. Snagged a 2005fpw today. Just couldn't pass up such a good deal. Anyone think I'll regret it?

If you regret it, and I regret it, we can cry on each others shoulders, or get a group discount on getting our heads checked. :D

I looked at the deal, set it all up, priced it all out, almost pulled the trigger, remembered to check my bank balance, saw the digits, and it was on like a marathon.

^^^ Lemme join in the crying too if such a thing happens

Being in HS, unemployed, paying for car insurance, and a speeding ticket... a 400$ monitor was the last thing I needed... but like everyone else, could not pass it up :D

I was just about to buy a new Digital camera to replace my what now seems large W-1. The Canon SD500 was my first choice add getting it for $434 dollars with a 512SD card is a deal I jumped on...

Kingston 512MB = $48 + 25% off selected memory = $36
Canon SD500 = $499 + 15% off Canon Digi-Cams = $425
$461 - $60 + 34 taxes = ($434)Win

Thanks for the heads up guys...nothing like getting a deal when you would have made the purchase anyways.

265 fp was the 19 incher that costed $265 according to click deals. i dunno what the model number is but it involves a f or a p somewhere

also, i dunno about the 1905fp, the 20ms responce time? ick?

i went to circut city today and they have a 17 inch samsung for 275 or something total with a $50 rebate. 8ms responce and teh color was good. also looked at the sony, vivid color n nice also but $400

Still not sure how the 2005FPW will stack up against my 21" CRT...anyone know the actual screen dimensions, not frame not overall?

7L0WQ3VFZW8HVX

$50 off $699.

First person to use it gets it.

Decided not to get the 2005FPW, doesnt seem like a real 19" wide screen to me.

Sorry, but no, the LCD's do not work in Canada, you hoser. :D
I was talking about the coupons you snit, if your gunna be a smartass leave. Some are resitrcted to US only.

Does anyone know if any other coupons WILL stack with these two? ie. $35 ones available on Ebay

Tried it. No worky Joe. Bought a $35 stackable off of Ebay right before I sent in the order, and it wouldn't stack on top of the $90. It replaces the $90 coupon code. I even completed the order and called the CustServ line and asked the chica to stack it for me. She said "Hell no" but in a nice way.

I'm going to be a smartass. No, I'm not going to leave. If you can't identify a mild joke and laugh, then I suggest you just go cry in your superior Canadian beer.

Been waitin for weeks for it to drop again...
No regrets on my soon to arrive 2005fpw!!!

For all those still hesitating...just do it, you know you want to.

No takers eh? Best I can find it's almost an inch wider but over an inch shorter in visible size than my Trinitron CRT. Guess I'll have to hold off for something bigger or it'll just be a big let-down when I get it. Even if it is a really nice price.

Is the extra 2% off worth it? It's not giving me the extra 2% when I click on pay with credit card or pay with DPA. How will it affect my credit if I pay off my balance all at once?

Just pay it off in entirety, but don't cancel the line of credit right away. Keep it open but don't (ab)use it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got the 2% to work.
total = $438.61 shipped to California. Not bad?

Not bad atoll. My total came out to $430.44 shipped to VA. Wish the $35 off would have stacked on top. This monitor for just under 4 bills would have been sw33t.

It's a shame I get double-taxed (state environmental fee plus California sales tax) when buying this. The government imports illegals on the back of the my LCD.

$449.45 out the door.

I'd love to see a chart of all Dell's sales of 2005FPW's over past 30 days... and the spike since yesterday.

Sweet.

I got in on this one too.

Since the last super deal I have been checking every day and yesterday was the first day I didn't check.

I would have probably had a nervous breakdown if this thing wouldn't have been still going on today.

Here's the email I just got for order confirmation:

Wow, just bought the 2005FP - I really need to stop browsing this forum, I'm going to get in so much trouble. :D

Haha no kidding. I just started browsing this forum again a few weeks ago and now I'm down $875. At least we all have some nice monitors to show for it, though.

I was waiting on the 2001FP. How does the wide aspect ratio of the 2005 work out in games that don't support 16:9 or 16:10? I will be doing much gaming.

The pixel stretching isn't bad. The 2005 has a built in coverter thingy that scales the signal up so you get tiny little black bars on the sides, but the game looks almost completely normal. I think Anand mentioned that in his shootout with the Cinema.

I know this has been debated before and I hope I am not hijacking this thread but I really need a definitive answer about this 2005FPW monitor. Will I be satisfied with this monitor as a primary gaming monitor? Please, if you are a serious gamers and have this monitor, let me hear your opinion.
Thanks!
