If anyone needs the PSP Proth prpclient's "master_prpclient.ini" file re-parsed then here you go:
Code:
// email= is a REQUIRED field. The server will be use this address
// to send you an e-mail when your client discovers a prime.
[EMAIL="email=your@email.here"]email=your@email.here[/EMAIL]

// userid= is a REQUIRED field that will be used by the server
// to report on stats, etc. without having to reveal the user's
// e-mail address.
userid=PSPusername

// This value differtiates clients using the same e-mail ID
clientid=client_ID

// server= configures the mix of work to perform across one or more
// servers. It is parsed as follows:
//   <suffix>:<pct>:<workunits>:<server IP>:<port>
//
// <suffix> - a unique suffix for the server. This is used to distinguish
// file names that are created for each configured server.
// <pct> - the percentage of PRP tests to do from the server.
// <workunits> - the number of PRP tests to get from the server. The
// server also has a limit, so the server will never return
//                more than its limit.
// <server IP> - the IP address or name for the server
// <port> - the port of the PRPNet server, normally 7101
//
// Setting pct to 0 means that the client will only get work from the
// server if it cannot connect to one of the other configured servers.
// Please read the prpnet_servers.txt in this directory for information
// on some known PRPNet servers.

I tripped a circuit breaker for the second time tonight. I've learned that if I turn on all the PCs and the PS3 at the same time, it's a bit too much. Anyway, when I switched the breaker back on, the Netgear GS108 was dead. It had been dying for a while, so I'm not surprised. I managed to get everything back online using my router, at 100Mbps for now. The GS108s are known to fail, so even though I think I can RMA it, does anyone know of a better choice? I'm out of ports anyway, so I could use a second switch.

Oh, and I have a mouse (a live one), so I need to trap it. :eek:

I've got a 5 port 10/100 D-link collecting dust. You however might want something with a bit more backbone.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2050400030+115010988+1150210242&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&Subcategory=30&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=

I really like mine. ^

Newegg has an 8-port gigabit D-Link for only $35 after rebate. That looks like a winner.

edit: Ordered. I like how the D-Link has the ports on the back and the blinkenlights on the front. Since I have the switch sitting on my desk, that will make cable management easier. Now to RMA the Netgear.

Looks like we are now only 6K Vault points back from Anandtech! Wont be long now!

Razor/tr0ach - Nice work on RC5. Seems like it took us forever to get up to 9K there and now you guys have pushed it to 9.5K in what seems like a week or so. :cool:

Well I will be shutting down all my boxen on Friday night. I am going hiking in Yellowstone for a week. When I get back I will probably be researching and purchasing my i7 build to make up for lost time! :D Keep up the good work everyone!

I see we moved up to #22 in the "Biological And Medical Science" category. If I remember, I'll run another chart of our recent progress.

Hey SazanEyes, which of us will make it to mfl0p's 2.5 million in Milkyway first? as long as neither of us buy another ATI card for the project, it's shaping up to be a damn good race!

Well, I just overtook mfl0p today, and I should hit 2.5M tomorrow. It wasn't that close, but I know you had issues keeping BOINC running 24/7. Together we added almost 2.5M points to the team total since your post a little over three weeks ago.

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have had orientation for college all week. RIT is a sweet school so much to do and perfect for my major.

I am still chugging away at Yoyo and Climate Prediction.

Nah, BOINC keeps running just fine for the CPU WU's, just the ATI GPU WU stop when using XP fast user switching! Oh, well, it was worth a try - and at least we've freed up Razor & Tr0ach for other fronts... Race you to 10M? :D Hell, I'll be lucky to make it to 4th place before masm71 catches up to me...

On a side note, I just noticed that at the top of my top 10 opportunity board in F@H is none other than Alan2308... I forgot that I even had my science box running, and realized that yesterday I hit 100 days of straight uptime with it running 4 cores of BOINC + dnet & 2 9600GSO! Here's to another 100 days of worry free uptime! (Looking for some wood to knock on...)

Here's a new chart.

We're still making progress, but it's not easy. At some point we're going to need more Commandos. :) I just added an E6300, but it's only temporary.

I think I may start working on personal goals. Preferably getting all my projects up to 100k.

Lets see how that goes haha.

That's about where I'm at, but I'm starting with any project below 9K to get above 50K... I moved from POEM to Genlife for now...

:D Glad to know we've got another RIT fellow here ;) Or well I used to be one. Fold/DC away!

The QMC stats export has been broken for a few days, but I'm well past 100K personally and we should be well over 9K as a team when DC Vault can load the latest stats. I only have a few boxen running BOINC, but I think I'm going to hit a variety of projects.

Looks like the QMC stats are fixed.
Good job on sieving, Razor.

Well Im back, and I have most of the farm back up and running. Working on Docking and RCN for a while. I think I can nab us a few spots in each in the next week or two. The Nvidia card is back on GPUGRID.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Has anyone gotten and Aqua CUDA work lately? I've been trying to grab some the past few days but it says server is out of work. :(

Edit: It looks like Crunchers Inc. is making a run in Docking. They are on pace to pass us in a couple days. Since we haven't done a joint effort in a while - Anyone up for a Docking Raid to stay ahead of Crunchers? :D

I see your working on RCN Metallicfan. Once I finish yoyo@home to 100k thats what I am putting my i7 on.

I'm spread thin at the moment, but I have a little bit working on Docking. We're also starting to lose ground in Enigma. I plan to do some RCN work after I catch up in some other areas. Once my GIMPS work finishes, I'll probably throw that i7 on BOINC.

Oh, I got some Lattice work yesterday, so they might have more available. You never know how much they're going to release.

AFAIK, the Aqua guys have kind of given up on CUDA. They've also been letting the CPU work queue empty out so they could release some new work. Not much action there currently.

Is anyone else having issues with Docking? See this post on their message board. I suspended Docking for now.

Glad to see you back - the ranks of the Commandos have been looking a bit thin as of late, so we can use every spare CPU to take down Anand!

I'm actually busy holding off the Crunchers in genlife, where there's so few teams, every place is worth 50-60 pernt, and I'll gain us 5 places and 9K in about 2-1/2 months :rolleyes:... Looks like we're going to have to start watching behind us as well as in front of us from now on!

I've been running Docking full time on two of my dual cores. i just checked them both this morning. They seemed to be fine. I guess maybe its time that i switched them over to RCN for a while until they get it figured out. Looks like we have some potential spots to gain in RCN anyway. :)

Well I ordered a UPS. Power flickered again last night. Probably lost 8 - 12 hours of processing. :( Lame.

I have been crunching away hard but have not been on the forum very often. College takes up alot of time. My boxen are still working hard. I am going to be working on RCN till 100k for a personal goal. Also, still on the long term going for Climate Perdiction.

Good to hear from you Eric. I've got quite a few cores on RCN as well. Hopefully we can make some good progress there. :)

Razor - Which ATI drivers are you using for dnet?

There was a big point adjustment on DC Vault for Malaria this evening. Not sure what the original problem was, but the new stats seem to be correct.

DC-Vault Changes

SuperlinkTechnion - removed
malariacontrol.net - added
Collatz Conjecture - to be added
Virtual Prairie - on watch list to be added
Added Collatz to my ATI machine as a backup for when Milkyway goes down, and to be ready to hold our ground/move up a bit when the big Vault crush hits... What are you running on Collatz to be putting up 100K/day? Or are you just getting a lot of old WUs finally validated? Forums make this project sound a bit like Stanford back in the day with Validation servers going down randomly on the weekends...

I'm running 2xGTX 260 CUDA and 2x4870 Brook64 both machines are running Boinc 6.10.6
The native Boinc 6.10.6 ATI Brook support is what I use on the 4870's not the Collatz optimized apps, they seems to run faster than running 2xCPU apps on each card simultaneously.

- Note to CUDA users: Be sure to have a free CPU core to feed the GPU's with Collatz, this will speed up unit completion by 75-100% (this may also apply to ATI users but I have not tested it)

- Note to ATI users: Reducing video memory down to the lowest setting in Catalyst (mine is 450mhz) will greatly reduce GPU temps and power consumption but will not slow down the completion rate of Collatz work units. (this also works with RC5-72)

Edit: There is a new beta release of Boinc. Version 6.10.7 version contains CPU/GPU scheduling fixes. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D

I'm still doing PrimeGrid work units. Have had no problem with the BOINC client since I installed it. I actually forgot that I had installed it.

Was that your SOB Sieve find SazanEyes? If so, great job!
I have put in a lot of SOB sieving only to come up with PSP Sieves.
I'll be running a few more weeks worth on SOB Sieve later this month, many projects to catch up on as it is.

It wasn't me, and our position didn't increase, so I think it was just a (big) point adjustment.

My dual 295 machine went down a few days ago, and I finally got it running again yesterday. I think it was a loose SATA cable. :mad: It's almost finished running GIMPS, and then I'll get back on some BOINC. I'm also thinking about backing off on W@H for a bit and making a push in PSP Proth. Too many projects...

I'd like to welcome masm71 and give a show of appreciation for all the work that is
being done in many of the projects we are currently working on.
His/her efforts are really helping us move in the right direction.
Thanks masm71 for joining the [H]ard DC Commandos.

It looks like we have had a few new members in various projects join in our efforts.
Welcome to all and I look forward in seeing you here in the DC-Vault thread.

Boincsimap WU's are availabe for those who are interested.

Cancel that, there gone allready.

I was just going to post that. :eek: They haven't updated the website to say they're out of work, so there might be more to come.

I've started leaving some projects, like SIMAP and Lattice, enabled on all my BOINC machines so that they'll grab work whenever it becomes available.

1/4 of my GIMPS work is done, and the other cores will be done in about 3 days. I think we'll move up five more spots, but it sure took a lot of crunching.

Great job on Gimps, SazanEyes !
I'll put in another month here in about a month toward Gimps.
Looks like we are making some progress there.:)

Thanks for helping out! The BOINC client often has that effect! :D

IToo many projects...

Man I couldnt have summed it up better myself. I was trying to help Eric and gain a bunch of ground in RCN but I just noticed that we are about to get steamrolled by about 4 teams in Docking. Just not enough CPUs.

DC [H]ard guys and gals!
