• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

When I try to edit the first posts of some of the threads I've started, the forum throws up a database error and the changes I tried to make don't go through. I can edit replies without any problems. Can you guys look into it?

Upon further testing, it seems to work with some threads and not others. I haven't noticed a specific pattern, but there may be one. For example, I can make changes to this thread, and to this one: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1574275

These two I can't edit:
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1573443
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1547434

I can edit them just fine, so it's nothing unique to the posts. Just out of curiosity, can you try editing the AC2 thread now?

Given that it's intermittent, I would try clearing cache/cookies/etc...and seeing if it still does it afterwards.

Didn't work. I tried clearing my cookies and cache and still nothing.

Edit: Tried flushing my DNS cache, and using both Firefox and IE8. No luck.

I'm getting a database error when trying to edit my posts, too. Made a dumb typo in one and I can't change it for the life of me D=

I'm also getting a database error when I try to edit the OP of my FS thread.

I have the same problem with my thread - http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1361506

I have tried from both work and from home in IE and Firefox. I tried something interesting though...I attempted to just add a period to the first post and it went through however when I tried to add the following it failed:

Video Cards and Accessories[.b][.COLOR][.SIZE]
$80 shipped[.COLOR] Accell UltraAV B087B-002B DisplayPort/DVI-D Dual-Link Adapter (Black)[.B] Brand New in Box - Unopened. bought to use my 5870 for Eyefinity but I went SLI instead

*Note I changed the trailing codes to a period instead of a slash so it would show up properly.

If you were having problems before, try it now and see if it's working.
