DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Damn, I missed it today. The CK Site was down for over an hour :(.
Does anyone want to sell his case? Preferable black?

From this thread it looks like there is demand for at least 1-2K more cases. Dan, how mamy cases will you order for the next batch?
By the way, thank you for my case, got it on Saturday, it's so awesome :D will participate in the HoF contest as soon as I put some LEDs in there!
Asus GTX 1080 Strix compatibility confirmed, it was even really easy to install except for PCIe power which has to be routed behind the front panel.
Can you post a picture? I'm using the 1060 Rog Strix and would like to see the clearance.

It does seem like there is still a large demand for the case. Is it possible for some kind of preorder system on OverclockersUK or some independent system? Waking up at 3AM just to come empty handed does not seem ideal and judging from the amount of US backers it would be 3-6AM for a large number of people.
I literally had the black case in my cart but I couldn't place the order from where I live.. Dan I must say good job on the distribution;)

Anyway.. I already got an Ncase on the way! Sure, It's a little bigger but I'm not gonna worry about temps, thermal throttling and noise anymore!

Maybe next time
No need for the condescending sarcasm, Dan is just one man. Not sure why you bothered to attempt to add to cart (which I'm not even sure you did) since there was a good amount of time you likely knew OCUK did not ship to Japan (you could have had a forwarding service like some users suggested, if so). But with that being said, Dan should look into other distributors that ship to and handles locations that OCUK/CK does not.

As a Kickstarter backer, I'm pretty sad seeing people who ordered today get shipping notifications when I've gotten radio silence :(
I'm with you :( i thought that we will get the cases first than Overclockers but it doesn't seem that way. I'm really anxious to get it but i know i need to wait for my turn, and hope to keep seeing more pictures of Dan Builds :D

Lian Li is wishing they had the rights to this design right about now...
I'd like to think it would be quicker to produce more as the equipment has already been made to produce them. I've not commented before, but have silently monitored this forum for months. I ordered from Overclockers at 12:12, Got my confirmation, then received a cancellation a few hours later telling me it would be June, until they got more in. This seems like a long time, assuming both DAN and Lian-Li agree to produce a ton more based on demand, why would production take so long?

Whats most frustrating is when dan kept saying his backers have top priority and now it feels like a kick in the stomach seeing others get shipping orders through from overclockers. even picking it up same day they went live.

Hi guys, I'm from France and just recieved my tracking number, so you now where he's actually sending :)

I think I gonna paint my case in textured gunmetal or something like that :)

Agree. We funded the possibility of the overclockers orders. :( Oh well. Looks like he's shipping soon. I still support Dan fully for bringing this product to light.

Look at it this way: if you are a US backer, we paid roughly $250 or so depending on exchange rate per case. Up thread someone said that for a US buyer from one of the resellers, it was $313 before shipping. That is assuming you were lucky enough to snag one in the 2 minutes they were available at whatever ungodly hour the sales went live. So we saved money on our cases sort of akin to an "investment" in a company (which is really what a kickstarter fund is), and we can sit back and relax and know we are getting our case.

Plus, we have bragging rights over all these n00bs who are saying they waited "months" to make their overclockers order. Ha. Months. ;)

The parcel will be sent to the following address: ;)

Same for me. from france and just got my email, expecting to receive it by monday ;)

are you in Paris? curious to see how you paint it.

Would you rather have him doing the actual shipping or answering every question and comment here..? :D
Of course we all want for him to ship, i would love help him if i could, but some Dan as always been there for us, i know he will come and give some great news :) If you are reading this Dan, could you just give a little update in which country you are right now?

It's not just production time, but shipping time as well. Shipping by freight container from Taiwan to Europe takes 2-3 months.

Anyway, I understand some of you guys are upset, but really, you need to give Dan a break. It's a massive undertaking for one person, and especially the first time doing it there's going to be some parts of the process you can't predict. Be happy that he's making a good faith effort to deliver his amazing product to all of you.

I agree, Dan deserves alot of credit, But Lian-Li are a big company and there is money just sitting on the table right now. It should only take one call from Dan and they should be able to start production (yes i know contracts are more complicated than that but you get what i mean) This case could easily shift several thousand units. Its not just this forum, its everywhere, Reddit, LTT etc. I believe many more would have ordered had they know about the release date.

I know most of us are just being impatient, but I'd just love to see a more streamlined production, even if that meant DAN handing a bit of control over to Lian-li (QC mainly, not rights) June just seems so far off..............

i had the same issue with overclockers, went to pay and it just jammed, called them on the phone, made the order, gave em my card details.
10 mins later got the confirmation email.

My power supply arrived today and so did my GTX1080 classified.

Just literally got the delivery confirmation that the case is coming tomorrow :)

Ordered my case from OCuk. Since everyone has been asking
Time Stamp on Order: 11:11am
Delivery Date: 02/02.......tomorrow.....

Tried to order off two different computers using Chrome/Internet Explorer. Even though it was in my basket wouldn't let me go to checkout or would crash. Tried to pay directly and through amazon option.
Finally worked on my mobile I think it was.

I ordered the silver - the brushed metal effect seems to stand out more.
On a side note I kept track of the quantity and rough times of sell out were
BLACK sold out at 11:16
SILVER sold out at 11:42

On the bright side, we can see where people went right and wrong with their choice of parts if you haven't gotten any yet - like me :)

Edit: And I also got the automated shipping message on the 23rd Jan. It has been a standstill at 'The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically' since :(

Non Marseille. Mais je mettrai éventuellement quelques photos.

congratulations to dan, selling out is a big deal. for a small business like him there is no way to know if you will still be in business tomorrow. a butterfly could flap its wings and these stores could have a bunch of cases nobody wants. it's very good fortune for him that everyone wants DAN A4-SFX!

Everyone is different, some are okay with packages being sent after third party released theirs, others like me are not, which are people who takes promises to heart.

As a person I understand its a difficult undertaking for a single individual to ship out 1600+ units.

However as a consumer, im disappointed that the company Dan-Cases didnt follow up with customer expectations that backers would get their shipments sent out first.

I would say this about any other company as well, be it apple, microsoft, msi, acer, asus. It could have been more clearly stated as well with an announcement that pre-order availability would be delayed a week or 2 until backers shipments went through, and if thats not possible because of third party distribution contracts, then that could have been explained clearly as well.

Im not trying to be a insensitive, I respect and appreciate that Dan the person has gone this far and so many people are happy this case exists. But David the consumer is upset the priorities he was told he would have have not been given.

CaseKing doesn't have the set of internal dust filters but does have them both seperately. Greedy bastards...

Ordered my DAN A4-SFX in black from Overclockers at 12:04pm, order confirmation at 12:15pm, then order canceled by them 5 hours later... :/

I am waiting for my kickstarter dhl notification, as I am from Austria and on the list above France, I gues I will get it soon :)

On the one side I am not in a hurry getting the case as I will wait for more builds and AMDs ryzen till buying hardware. I am still happy I backed this project on kichstarter and I am glad Dan started the project.
But on the other hand I am a little bit jealous that (some) non backers get their case first. Maybe there should have been more time for shipping for backers before it is available on other sites, which in my opinion could have been planned better. But in the end it is a small mistake and hopefully the only one :)

Looking forward receiving my case and reading about all your builds! :)

Upon receiving the shipment, Dan started sending out the cases to the backers first - as promised. He prioritized the backers and those in Germany received theirs first. It would make sense that Caseking would receive their shipment at this point as they are part of the German distribution list. It can be presumed that at this point they send over part of the stock to Overclockers (same company).... So they should have sat on their hands until Dan had finished manually sending out the individual 1600+ other cases? Take into account the delay due to Dan being ill aswell for a week.

The original backers received the first cases and if are waiting are guaranteed a case and paid less. Yes, a lucky few were able to bag them from overclockers but the majority of people now have to wait until July for an opportunity of secure one of them.
Dan Cases as a company has been extremely transparent and upfront about everything... more so than any of the tech companies you have listed.

I am excited for those who received their cases, now we can start seeing some build pics !

I'm excited to come to this forum and not see pages of complaints, order cancellations, and a handful of people who got the case. There were only 70 or so cases allocated to the site...is it really that mind boggling that they sold out as quickly as they did? Can we just get updates on this forum about the case?

So tensions are running high over the new orders but let's remember why we're all here :)

I've explained my point of view reasonably and fairly, splitting my judgement for the person behind the company and the company itself. you can explain your reasoning to me but I still paid for a premium priced product and was told quite reasonably backers were getting their packages first. Excuse me for not going into the fine print and examining his writing under a microscope. I've said before as a consumer im upset im still waiting. The information being provided to me feels like im being ignored and pushed aside to other backers and third party distributors, can you blame me if im feeling upset? I understand you've taken a defending stance of the shipper, but please take a look at the other side here and put yourself in someone like myself's shoes.

My guess is that Dondan was trying to do it like this. Things happen and things get pushed back. He was sick for a while. I've been waiting for this case for over 2 years...can we just settle down and wait for our prized case?

Give the man a break. He's done so much now cut him some slack.

Is there anything between the riser cable and the mainboard, like some protection for the cable? I assume it can get pretty hot when using a M.2 on the PCB side of the mainboard.

In the first pictures, it shows:
  • The motherboard.
  • Tthe big metal plate that divide both sides and where the MB is installed.
  • A plastic that seems to avoid electric shorts from the graphics card.
  • The pci-e cable.
  • The graphics card.
I don't have the case, but that seems to be the order
