Good deal. But I really wanted to get this on Steam. Think it'll come back before the year's end for 50% off?
What is the difference?
Most non steam games can still be added to the STEAM application game list.
Why wouldn't this work?
Tried to bite, damn thing says: Your transaction will require review by a Customer Service Agent. Please contact Customer Service for further information. We apologize for this inconvenience.
3 failed attempts by Credit Card and Paypal transaction wont work either.../sigh I hope by the time they respond to my message they will still honor the deal.
Because adding a game to your list doesn't add it to your account. You would not be able to download it through Steam or have it auto-patch through Steam. What is the difference?

There's a small list of games that can be added, but most can't. You can however create a shortcut in you games list which makes it seem like its part of steam, but its only good for launching the executable.Because adding a game to your list doesn't add it to your account. the difference is you can install the game over steam from your steam account, is that hard to understand?
You're both wrong.
My point is that there are a small handful of games bought outside Steam that can be added. So it isn't an absolute that you can't add a game.
The problem is that Most (but not all) can't.
There are some games, like FEAR 2, Empire Total War, Modern Warfare 2, and UT3 for example. However, most games don't allow for that.Do you mean adding it to the list of games, or registering with steam so it's autopatched etc?
The latter doesn't work since it wasn't purchased through steam.
Yeah, i have had this happen before.
CS is very good about fixing these issues, once you get past their automated messages, they are quick to respond.
Steam had it for 25 bucks a few weeks ago and I jumped on it then. I guess theres a chance Steam could do it again around Christmas.lol, i know i posted this and i wanted it and i never bought it.. ill just wait till next year when its on sale again or maybe steam would have it cheaper. i just have to many games to play atm
You DO NOT want the Steam version of Arkham Asylum, they added a bunch of extra DRM to it. The DVD version has a simple DVD check (powered by SecuROM), while the Steam version has the nasty draconian version of SecuROM.Good deal. But I really wanted to get this on Steam. I think that really depends on what kind of DRM. I can tell you that the Starforce DRM on my copy of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory which prevents me from running the game on any OS newer than Windows XP certainly does bother me, and would probably bother you too if you ever had to deal with the same issue./shrug
Maybe I'm part of the minority here, but DRM doesn't bother me.
It'll bother you when a game starts crashing at random almost every time you walk through a doorway...Maybe I'm part of the minority here, but DRM doesn't bother me.
