Don't really care about multiplayer so I haven't downloaded the demo yet. Didn't even bother with the leak so any bugs in it wouldn't effect my decision when it was officially released.

But with the news that DX11 won't be included with the initial release, I'm probably going to wait for a sale after they patch it in. I'm kind of sad that I'll have to wait since the storyline is being written by one of my favorite authors and I think he'll be able to do something decent with the premise.
 
Haven't downloaded it for the same reason, don't really care about the MP. But I don't like what I'm hearing. I have a long backlog, so it can wait a long while (compared to Portal 2, which is already preordered).
 
I'm enjoying it especially now that SLI is fucnctiong properly and the fps is kicking.
 
It looks cool but its more of the same crap. I mean, it's really old. Run around shoot, die, over and over again. They literally didn't bring anything new to the table and before someone tells me otherwise, please, don't. Graphics, abilities yeah, nice ... but meh.

Sure the console kiddies will eat it up like the pop culture candy it is.
 
haven't downloaded the demo and have no plans of ever downloading it. i'll buy the game when MWLL gets ported to it. if it doesn't then i wont be buying the game.
 
I could care less about multiplayer,and the single player campaign seems to be just another linear corridor shooter.I think I'll pass on this one.
 
With it being only DX9, graphics being the 80% of the reason to "play" Crysis games and running like crap at the moment i don't why i would consider downloading the demo.

Ya. I bought it mainly for the SP campaign. I never played Crysis Wars and still have yet to play Warhead, which I'll try and play this weekend.
 
Honestly I'm not going to bother.

CW was dire, I expect this to be the same. Reading the comments in the demo thread I'm not going to waste my time to download, install & play.

No DX11 on launch. Fixed graphic options, auto-aim, myopic FOV, motion blur, press key to start, Gamespy, looks 2x shitter than Crysis.

I'm not going to support Crytek as they obviously only care about the console bucks. I hope it fails and badly.

about 30 minutes ago I was finally able to create an account within the demo. I was expecting it to just sit there and say "creating account" forever like it has been doing but it actually worked this time.

Yeah, it doesn't look brilliant there. Crytek obviously can't make it look awesome in 2 weeks if that's what it looks like now, the only hope is they haven't actually included the highest res textures and stuff in the demo, for what reason I dont know. Though I do remember Crysis Wars looked significantly worse than the singleplayer games to keep it more playable, maybe they've done something similar here to make it more accessible... I dunno, just hoping for the best. Personally I think Warhead was a big step down from the original Crysis in graphical quality anyway.

Believe me it looks worse in motion. Running it at hardcore settings at high resolutions doesn't help, and the fact that they have tried to compensate by using oversaturated bloom, HDR and excessive blur just makes it nauseating to play for any length of time. Putting lipstick on a pig doesn't make it any prettier.
 
Still screwing around with it, since it's free. Not buying it though. Atleast not for 60, and considering what's being said about the campaign probably no more then 20, if at all.

The reason it was multiplayer is because crytek suck at a singleplayer experience. The first crysis was bland if you did what you were actually supposed to rather than piling up exploding things and setting them off. This looks like it shall be even worse, with plain backgrounds and less exploring (the first game was pretty linear). So it's even more just another tech demo, just with worse graphics?

Might be worth picking up with the original two titles for $15 for a rainy weekend, or to try out some mods.
 
Multiplayer - didn't download, don't care.

Further, while Crysis/Warhead were a lot of fun--amazing, actually--Crysis in a city sounds confined, the aliens were what I disliked in Crysis (and Warhead, to a lesser extent) and $59 can go hang. I'll pick it up when it's $30 or less.

The Far Cry/Crysis 2 comparison screenshots will be amusing when someone gets around to posting them. ;)
 
Installed and still installed. Was fun, although I'm not really into the multiplayer stuff in Crysis. I'm more of a single player fan myself and if the level design in the multiplayer maps, are any indication of the quality in single player, then I'll love the single player campaign!
 
I didn't care for the first one, so I don't imagine I'll like this any better. Consequently, I don't plan on even spending the time to download the demo.
 
I prefer BC2 style multiplayer. Crysis wars wasn't my thing either, but at least this is a bt more meaty, I guess.

Did not download . I do not play MP games and had no interest in it.. I have no deep desire to own this game . I have a enough back log to keep me busy for a while anyway. If I do pick it up it will be in the Christmas sale from Steam.
 
I played Crysis and Warhead before, and I think the mp in Crysis 2 is pretty decent, I like the mp more than the first one, though I am disappointed that you cannot pick the graphics settings other than, gamer, advanced and hardcore though.
 
I downloaded the demo for kicks but truth be told I really have no interest in multiplayer anyways - I played crysis 1 and warhead for the single player experience only. I preordered Crysis 2 and I'm going to keep the preorder.

I really don't care about the "Press Enter to start" title screens and the "consolized menus" people are complaining about with this game and nearly every multi-platform game released for the past 5 years. Just Cause 2 has a similar menu and honestly it doesn't effect the game play itself one bit. As long as I can make the changes I want to make and then get to the game quickly until I want to make more changes, I'm happy.


I recall the multiplayer demo for crysis also missing features and being locked to DX9 (if I recall correctly). I'm holding out hope that the full version has all the graphics tweaks exposed in the menu like crysis/warhead had.
 
One thing I really concern about is music..

Crysis 2's music does not sound as good as Warhead to be honest..

Warhead's music really merge me into the game and feels excited most of the time..

Crysis 2's music is a meh..

Storyline and gameplay, hell they take out almost every single elements of Crysis out and slap a CoD styles into it... I wonder who made this decision..
 
I installed it hoping that since it didn't say MP demo that it may have SP as well and uninstalled it once my hopes were dashed 30 sec in to the menu.
 
I'll buy it to play the single player campaign as I enjoyed both Crysis and Warhead. But holy hell the multiplayer is AWFUL.

Just giving them a chance based on how they have delivered good single player in the past. But really their multiplayer is really really bad. Has been since the first game came out.

Yeah but a lot has changed. The price is $10 higher, the game is multiplatform, and there is np SP demo.

Not to mention the following confirmed facts about SP:

*much less physics based destruction;

*no DX10 or 11 on launch;

*much smaller environments and levels.
 
Didn't download it, don't plan to buy it. I didn't like the first part, and if the second will be worse, I aint' touching it with ten foot pole.
 
I downloaded the demo on steam because it prompted me and I thought "why not", I haven't been arsed to even try it yet, I don't think I care about this game in the slightest now.
 
This game is going to bomb on the PC.

Hopefully Crytek will concentrate solely on the consoles in future as a half arsed ports only antagonise the PC players.

The sad truth is Crytek sold out and have regressed from a technical standpoint - I find it disappointing that Crysis & Warhead showed how much talent Crytek have and yet they have settled to not advance that original promise by chasing sales and satisfying the bank manager. Business matters once again have killed creativity.

The game that Crysis 2 could have been will never come to fruition, I have no respect for them any more.
