Maybe, or perhaps, the games are good enough that despite the stuttering, people find them fun anyway?
Well that is obvious and just proves my point that people have lowered their standards. The more that happens the less the devs care about optimization.

I highly highly recommend people play this in HDR, it really is a transformative difference vs non-HDR which is washed out. None of the nexuasmods for black level correct this properly.

Cronos has one easily visible difference when toggling hardware Lumen RT vs software Lumen RT. It's most noticeable on OLED due to the infinite contrast ratio they afford, but on a decent IPS it will still be there too. I am talking about the UE5 boiling effect and ever-present artefacting that happens when the RTGI has to be calculated behind a transparency object, in this instance our traveller.

The issue completely goes away when enabling HW RT mode, but at the cost of a massive framerate drop in this game. It will be interesting to see what Stalker 2 sees when GSC update the game to UE 5.5.4 as Cronos is still running an old UE5 version, the efficiency and performance boosts in later versions will no doubt help, assuming GSC also enables the HW RT option (they should).

I’ve not been following this, but I’m seeing a positive reaction at the forums. People playing the game seem genuinely excited.

Guess I’ll check it out.

It's OK I thought maybe I would be totally immersed maybe later on. This is the first 5 minutes of the game I'll play it later when I get back.

After looking for Fuses Keys and Flashlights a Cat pops and gives me some much needed Health I finally got to the Upgrade center.
You start off the game really gimped being you get hit 2-3 times your down. The Combat is like well it's better that Protocol but Deadspace Remake is better if you ask me
then again I only have 116 minutes in the game. I coulldnt find this 2nd fuse for about a half hour not realizing you can jump over stuff in the game I had to look it up.

I don't recommed this game so far I have the CD KEYS version so I can't refund if I wanted.

Well I don't unless your really desperate for a tunnel vision game its ok its no Deadspace.

Yeah the melee action isn't all whatever you get stomp and right handed bash. Its more like Deadspace. The gunplay you don't have any lock on im pretty sure.

but is it better then Callisto Protocol? 🐎

I quite liked that game despite its very linear nature.

This game seems like it is very strict on resource management, in a way that makes Dead Space/Resident Evil 2/3 look like it gives abundant resources. Not sure if I'd like that. But that seems to be what I am reading.

Mod it to get extra resources?

Downloading...
Performance is fine in the intro area. Maxed out with FG DLSS Q.

This game is not bad at all. Very dead space vibes with some changes. There is traversal stutter but it’s very light during area changes. I am liking it but I have only done the intro. Learning how to play a bit as it is not an easy game. Ammo is very scarce and most times there is choice to either craft ammo or craft health.

Thus far, I can see myself running through it. Just not right now as I am pumping Borderlands 4 more than anything.

This game is like "Dark Souls" the screenshot above shows that after absorbing this guy I got extra Flame abilities. The 1st Boss was fun the game plays alot like The Evil Within.
You might want to adjust the games auto aim to 1-4 under Auto Aim otherwise your character's camera is all weird.

Also this: I can't help but laugh at people who need to use the Temporal Diver mode because the game was not really that hard, it just requires careful planning and an affinity for the survival horror genre. In my not so humble opinion, if you are at the point where you need to use this mode, survival horror may not be your thing. :)
Get over yourself. Having a single difficulty setting was stupid as we do not have the same skills, time or patience. What is easy for you may be harder for someone else and vice versa. That's the reason 99.9% of all other games offer difficulty options and or accessibility options so people can play on what works for them. Getting triggered and making fun of people that wanted an easier setting is just asinine and has ZERO impact on you.
