Crimson Desert

I really hope these devs listen to what all these people who got the "hands on" are saying to them and make adjustments before this game comes out. There are some relatively easy streamlining and "make more intuitive" steps they can take on the clear consensus of potential concerns going into it.

Game looks ambitious it was suppose to be Black Desert Online 2 but they made this instead.

Some would use the extra power to simply play in 4k ~90/100fps , (using a rough how much stronger a 5090 is to a 5070ti estimate), has update over time make it more optimised and newer generation of GPU come out, maybe there will have interesting amount of room to play here for sure and dept of field alone could be push to insane level.

based on?
That they mentioned "upscaled from" in the console settings and the Low PC settings but none of the other.
FSR 4k native AA for the 7900xtx (4k-60fps) preview Digital foundry did I think,
View: https://youtu.be/Z0pxsi7FU9g?t=188, which is of course a form of Temporal anti-aliasing but that tend to look good doing it

Looks like I had it right, the NVIDIA equvilant would be DLAA just with better image quality and performance.
For comparions the Witcher 3 with max settings including raytracing and HairWorks at 8xAA with DLAA gives ~60 FPS in 4K with a RTX 4090.

ok, but 4k doesnt need 8x aa. guess we'll have to wait for settings/options to be shown, unless i missed it somewhere....

The hype for this game is impalpable, it's gonna be a smashing success regardless of review score. Even very casual gamers who are invulnerable to the 'hype machine' are talking about it. Their marketing team has to be over the moon with the free exposure they are getting from not just content creators and gaming channels/sites, but from regular joe's that are discussing and watching all the pre-release content - making the algorithms push it to the top everywhere.

Any other dev would have to pay hundreds of millions for that kind of marketing/hype, and typically only those on Rockstar's level can afford to splurge like that. Of course the devs deserve credit for all the work they put in to get to this stage.

That trailer shows swords and sorcery, musket rifles, jetpacks, and trains. I'm still wary given all the hype for this. At least there are discounts out there on official resellers.

What turned me off of Where Winds Meet was the over-abundance of mechanics. Kind of getting that vibe here, though I never played Black Desert online.

Sorta reminds me of a more adult BOTW/TOTK - and that engine looks beautiful (at least based on the PS5 Pro footage). Still not going to pay new game prices for it, but it's definitely on my radar now. I was hoping this game would have cross play (so I can switch between PS5 and PC), but doesn't look like it. Hopefully that can be added later.

That is 8x MSAA in Hairworks (seperate setting) DLAA is for the fullscreen graphics.

And most games do actually need AA even at 4K to avoid jaggies I play at an 42" 4K OLED no AA looks very bad in games jaggies everywhere and DLAA > DLSS in that regard.
