The fine folks at Corsair just sent over a few pictures of their upcoming case (currently on display at CeBIT). According to Corsair’s Technical Marketing Specialist, this black beauty will be on sale in early Q2.

I'd like to see how the hard drive bays work. Looks nice and simple though. I wonder how it will be priced. If it's priced like the Zalman cases just because of the name, I'll pass.

Very very nice. Now if it only had some USB ports right there at the top on the front, almost perfect... ;) I guess a front port bay could be used but those things tend to look tacky to me, Antec does it right on the Three Hundred and the Nine Hundred, wonder why Corsair decided to pass. Hrmmm...

Still, a very sweet case, and flat black too. Awesome...

Wow, looks schweet. Nice, simple, and roomy. Well, from the pics anyways. I saw pics on another site too, the square below the 5 1/4 inch bays is a door that opens up to the hot swap bays. :D Nice touch.

Here is a pic of the hot swap bay open.

Reminds me of the Lian-Li server towers.
I <3 simple elegant cases.

Has my seal of aproval *astheticly*

I'm guessing it will be 250-300 bucks.

We'll more than likely get some good combo deals out of this.

I'd really like to know construction materials; i.e. all-aluminum, all steel, plastic, etc. Hopefully, all-aluminum or I'm out on it. ;)

Is that provisioning for triple radiator I see? Can someone confirm?

Besides the already mentioned opening in the motherboard tray the case offers several interesting features. Four Hot Swap capable and removable racks for hard drives are available behind the impressive aluminum panel. The motherboard tray also offers several openings for an easy cable management. In the upper part of the case there is enough free space for a triple radiator and on the bottom even big power supply units can be installed.

Interesting, hm...

I can see they took a few design queue's from the P180 but seem to have improved on that design.

if it can house an mcr320 internally without modding it, I'm sold.

I like the look of it, definitely. What's up with the uneven fan-spacing up top, or is it just me?

The prototype has uneven fan spacing up top, the final version will have the correct spacing for a triple 120mm radiator.

As for construction, making this entirely out of aluminum would have pushed the cost through the roof, so it's a combination of steel and aluminum.

Glad to see you guys like it so far. I've been lurking in the case & cooling forum for about 2 years now trying to come up with a cool design for it.

My job at Corsair is to have a hand in the creation of just about anything but the memory. Cases, Cooling, Power Supplies - I'm trying to listen to you guys and build what you want to buy.

This is not going to be a cheap case, retail will be $250-300 probably. Still working it out.

Shipping one of these things costs more than shipping 200 flash drives. heh.

that is one sexy bitch. I'll take one without a window, please (I think windows are tacky).

The HX1000 is super sexy against all that black.

Trade you my Antec Twelve Hundred. :D

You need to find a way to drop that price point. I'll bite if it's under 200. Also, please make sure that the triple fan radiator depth can deal with something as thick as a Thermochill PA120.3. Nothing sucks more when you drop a radiator underneath the top cover and it smacks the motherboard or comes really close to it. If you have a problem getting that price point to drop then PM me and I'll find a vendor for you that could probably get you there.

is it wrong to feel my pants getting tighter after looking at a simple computer case?

But $250-300 for a case?? Yikes man, don't like it that much, does it come with that 1000w power supply for that price?

Well, for me, it's been an annoying thing about all cases: The number of 5 1/4 bay drives. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't see the need for more than 2, maybe 3. Especially with content leaning towards digital downloads. Having the 6 bay plates in the front really takes away the cleanness of the looks. To me, a nice clean solid front with 1 bay for a dvd/br drive would be perfect. Or mabe something like the double door on the silverstone tj10.

Looking at other photos of the case on other sites with a mobo installed in it, I'd say a PA will easily drop in there with enough clearance no problem. But it will require modding anyways because of the fan-spacing up top, but that's expected with a Thermochill rad, right? ;)

The killer question for me is the fan spacing - will it use thermochill's unusual spacing, or the more common spacing of swiftech/feser/etc radiators? See what I'm talking about here. My first guess would be whatever corsair's own watercooling uses is what this case will have

I would imagine that would depend on the fan spacing they used. If I know Corsiar, it will have Swiftech fan spacing (15mm). That is a very nice looking case for a WC enthusiast. :D

Thanks for the link - we'll look into this. We don't currently have a watercooling solution using internal radiators but it's not too late to make a couple changes to the holes we drill in the top of the case.

If they make a non-windowed version I'd take it. In fact, without a window that's my next case. Sadly, I don't see that happening considering their target audience.

This is the [H]ardForum, Redbeard, not SlickDeals... as long as you're giving people what they want, the price doesn't matter. So far, it looks like a solid winner... ;)

Looking at the other photos, I'd say the spacing on the prototype is 15mm, so you're good with the Swifties, HWL, and Feser rads. But who knows what the final design will have. I doubt it will be 24.5mm for Thermochills though.

Ah, I see what you did there on the prototype looking at other photos of it. Looks like initially spacing up top was meant for a dual rad and an additional 3rd fan was added in front of it. Good idea to go to triple-fan spacing though for those non-modders that want to drop a triple-fan rad in there. It's unfortunate about the mixed metals construction IMHO, but it's understandable. Looking at the engineering work on this case from what I can surmise from scant photos of it around the net so far, there's a reason why I buy Corsair RAM and PSUs... ;)

/Please/ make the top three fans spaced to support Swiftech Quietpower and similar radiators. Please. Also, as I mentioned above, a version without a side window would be awesome.
