Mine are cheap and broken and need the wire taped against the headset so you can hear out of the left speaker! Duct-tape and patience sorta fixes almost anything though..
Worst reason ever, but sadly true. I got married Memorial Day weekend, moved into a house that we've had to do a complete gut and restore on (we're living in the mess). My computer is set up on a small corner table, and basically, I just want to be able to play games occasionally while being able to actually hear them - not the shop vac running on another floor, not the washing machine from the basement, and not my wife yelling at me to put the games away (we all need a break right?!).
I need a good set of headphones. I have an old (but decent) Altec Lansing 2.1 speaker set, but my grandmother complains about the volume. No snarky comments please; I'm going to school, and while living with family sucks, it beats paying rent. I do a lot of flight sim gaming, so having a pair of cans with a mic would be awesome.
I suppose I could take a page from this guy and set some claymores for my grandma, but then I'd have to pay her mortgage, and that would suck.
I currently use my TV as my monitor and thus it also doubles as my sound device. Problem is that I get a TON of noise over the HDMI link whenever there's a lot of RAM activity (beats me as to why), but this issue only exists with my HDMI interface.
I'd very much rather be wearing a good headset and talk clearly than fight with noise and have the constant echo in my mic from my speakers!
I want to be as immersed in my gaming with a great headset as I am with my speaker set up! The mic is also a great addition when I'm on vent my stand up mic is getting a bit old Posted via [H] Mobile Device
I have gone through numerous headsets in the past. And I am narrowing down on what works.
I have gone through some altec lansing headsets, logitech headsets and even polaroid. I need something that does over the ear, has a rather thick strap across the top (thin straps make my hair stand up). Volume control on the cable. Something that won't fray. USB (i have decided it just works more easily w/ USB). I want something that plays great music, has great spacial qualities, and just sounds great. A mic that has good sound (my altec lansings kept looping back my in game audio back through my mic) quality, and works.
Hey guys,
I need to hear better because I need to be competitive in team based shooters, where positioning, awareness of the enemy, and teamwork are essential to winning matches. And having a headset that gives me surroundsound on any computer I use, allows me to compete at any location.
i need pair of headsets that i dont have to break apart and tape together because they fit on my head. makes it damn hard to hear when they dont fit right.
I have a rare condition called spinetingleitis. I've been suffering a great deal lately from my poor quality headphones and am in dire need of some real head phones to give me that spine tingling sensation you get while gaming with a good pair of headphones. So please, help me recover from this serious condition and drop a pair of these bad boys at my door step
Props to Corsair here. A very cool giveaway thanks guys.
I am currently using a Sennheiser set. I would love to hear what Corsair has come up with here though. Many of their other products that I have used have been great!
