Cooling GTX 480s

No. Basic rule of thumb is you need at least a 120mm fan slot per GPU/CPU. You'd need a 360mm long radiator at least, especially for an OC'd 930 and GTX 480s. Also the Apogee XT isn't a very good buy these days when the XSPC Rasa gives the same or better performance for $20 less. It also isn't as restrictive to flow as the Apogee XT, which is important if you're going to have GPU blocks in the loop.

Hmm, interesting. The slim Magicool radiator is the only one I can really use in the V352 case I am planning to use, and I don't plan to mod the case.
 
Looks like it'll be GPUs only or CPU only then. If you're willing to run external you can do it.
 
You can always use a Swiftech RadBox and mount a 120x3 radiator on the back.
I'm not even sure a 120.3 radiator can handle that kind of heat load anyway. The 480s run in the high 70C range under full load with the fan on 85% in my system.....my 120.3 radiator keeps my OC'd 920 and northbridge combination at 45C right now and that's with an MCP655 and a Heatkiller and a BitsPower NB block. If I added even 1 480 it would be FUBAR'd.:eek:

I have several systems like that and it's just way easier, especially if the case has holes provided for watercooling on the back.:D
 
A poster in another forum said at full load I "would have roughly 70C CPU and 60C GPU." Can anyone confirm this?
 
Dual 480 GTX's put out a LOT of heat. (Especially if you plan to push them with higher voltages/core speeds once they are on water.) If your CPU is overclocked as well, cutting corners with the bare minimum will have you running at elevated temps whenever the SLI is chugging at full steam - not such a good idea. A CPU is going to be more sensitive to the the elevated temps - during the summer months under heavy loads, odds are you will experience some nasty problems. Add more radiator - go external.

I'm just running a single 480 GTX so far, but as you can see, I've planned ahead...

Hmm yea might go with a swiftech radbox. Anyone know of any other good external mounting options? Did some research and theres an 80mm fan on the back of the v352. Since the swiftech radbox has 80mm fan mounting holes, can I just mount a 120.4 radiator on that, hanging off the back, and call it a day:)

I simply used a 120x38mm fan paired with a 120x25mm fan sandwiched together as a mount for my radiator. Bolts I took from a toggle bolt package I picked up at home depot. Worked great for me.

Nice! Is the 120x25 fan turned on, or used simply as a mount?

I gutted mine to fit a Swiftech 120.2 rad on the back of a P180 mini (only one 120mm fan position that is externally mountable).

I did so because the fan grill on my case has a bit of a "bump" to it.

Luckily my case's fan grill was smooth - no such problem. Gutting one of the fans is a simple/easy solution though where the interface to the case may interfere.

I also used 4 gutted 120x25 fan housings as shrouds on the bottom half (interior) of my quad radiator.
