my computer turns on for like 2 seconds, all the fans are spinning, however nothing is on the screen and then it turns off.
also the computer restarts itself to follow this pattern again and again.
the only way to make it stop is to turn off the psu switch or unplug the computer from the power source.

what is the problem? is it my ram? is it my power supply?
help would be very much appreciated
thank you!

I would say follow the stick as well....

But becasue i recognize the symptoms... I say quit turning it on if its doing the smae problem as it sounds like somethign may be shorting out inside. follow the sticky first. particulary maybe the motherboard..

see we can't really anser you not becasue we don't want to but because once you follow the sticky we can have a fair assesment of what it could be by you giveing us responses to each question are where you run into a problem.
the sticky is there to troubleshoot it from our prospective as if we were there.

i jumpstarted my powersupply and i realized my psu is just fine...

i decided to keep my psu running for a few hours and ill try connecting it to the computer soon

Sounds like your PSU is not the culprit :)

After you're satisfied with the PSU test, you should connect only a minimum configuration to your system, and see if this still happens.

I'm curious what your system configuration is, and when exactly you assembled it.

Have you been overclocking by any chance? This is a classic symptom of unstable settings.

The jump start trick is not a great indicator that all the rails/outputs of your PS are working fine.

The only thing you tested was the PS starting and we already knew that it did.

The only way to test if your PS is working properly is to measure it with Multitester under load.
