I want to put together a code of ethics for the [H]orde. Or as p[H] likes to call it, "The [H]orde Commandments"

Here is what we are preposing:

Each member can suggest rules or codes that each member of the [H]orde will be held accountable to.

Rules will be voted on by te team and finalized by the mods. Democracy at it's finest.

Thoughts?
 
we had a thread a long while back that had alot of "thou shalt _____"s in it.... I don't know if it was before the last purge or not...... I'll see if I can find it.......

i had about 10 computers down for a week over x-mas:) so we shall see bringing up a sempron today and an xp 2400 when the new mobo gets here and that is just in my house:D

 
I just added those extra 70Ghz right before Chrismas. Tues night last week, so Imve only had that extra 70Ghz for 8 days now.

You ARE going down, look at the overtake page, if you set it to 7 day outlook, Ill have you in a month. 4.9k ppd atm. Hoping to get it to 5k ppd tonight or tomorrow. I have 2 more 2.8s coming in within the next week or 2.

- Limit 1 drama thread on front page of forums.

- Limit posting in other teams forums to 1. dedicated smack talk threads 2. providing an answer to a question which was previously unanswered.

- Limit locking/closing threads which do not serve the best interest of [H]ardforums, or the [H] DC teams. No locking threads because you disagree with a post.

- Can only bitch about DC projects your currently active in, no bitching about FAH if you run UD and vice versa.

Thou shalt receive a vacation here if you receive a vacation/ban at other DC team-forums, and perma-ban if you get vacationed/banned twice elsewhere.
 
^ Typically, Kyle doesn't give a ____ about what happens on other forums. Yes Moose and p[H]ant0m have Banhammers (I do to), but we are only supposed to use them on offenders in Video Cards.
 
My suggestion was made as there is certainly a movement these days for the [H] team to be above reproach, not to undertake any action that would bring shame to the team, or put the [H] team in any bad light. A vacation at another DC-folding team forum would certainly qualify as putting us in a bad light, so perhaps there should be repercussions here as well? It is my .02, worthy of consideration I think.

Well we won't be brandishing the banhammer down here. As with all issues of the nature on the [H] its up to the Admins who warrants such punishments. As long as someone is following the rules of the [H] they should not have to worry about that.

All we are asking is that people use some consideration when dealing with members of other teams. A little smack and trash is alright, we all do it and we all enjoy it. We can't police what happens to everyone everywhere, we can just ask that people use their best discretion when dealing with others.

While every member of the [H] should behave themselves while visiting other forums, it is not my job, or any mod's job to police happenings on other forums. Until Kyle says otherwise, I worry about what happens here, and here only.

This does not however give anyone the right to go trashing other forums. It is in very bad form IMHO, and will be brought to Kyle's attention if I hear of it.
 
Let's try to get a top ten commandments out of this to be posted in the FAQ.

Let's get some of the more serious ones.

8 Thou shalt bring others to the [H]orde.
9 Thou shalt always treat fellow [H]'rs as family, and act in a respectable way to all in the folding community.
10 Thou shalt use computers to heat there homes during colder months
11 Thou shalt give up excess unused parts for the greater good of the [H]orde
