Nice find considering MW games normally don't dip below initial retail for quite a while.

To echo others in this thread, however, the MW franchise is played to death at this point.
 
yeah your link goes to the Xbox version still going for 50 bucks

PC version is 39 dollars if you download it. An okay deal, but I sitll have BF3, SaintsRow2 and Forza4 to work on.

If EA/Dice fuck BF3 up anymore though via patch I just might have to move back to the CoD franchise (a move I swore I wouldnt' do after black ops)

why do you need one or the other? ive never played a bf game and i havent played CoD since CoD4. im perfectly happy. just started playing tf2 again a couple weeks ago and i have to say i still love it as much as before, even with the hats and items and other bullshit. its a lot easier now though with all the casual players. :/
 
Thanks! Been on the fence about getting this since they are basically giving the PC community the middle finger and saying 'see you next time!'.

Picked it up at $39.99 and also got a $5 promotional credit for use starting Jan 1.

So total after I spend the $5 is $34.99. And we all know CoD takes forever to take any price cuts.

Funny thing is how some have been trained to think a"$40 Sale"is a bargain for a PC game.That used to be the release price for AAA and most other PC games.Must applaud Activision for brainwashing the masses.:(

And why do you think that it is - because people are finally waking up that it's just another COD4 map pack. Not to mention the original developer IW bailed after Activision screwed them over so with zero innovation and a 5 year old engine more people are playing BF3 this time around, at least on the PC.

I would bit if it's worth $20 bucks or less, sure i buy it for just for fun that it, I do not own Black Ops, MW2, WOW, etc...

I only have true classic COD4 that is it.

Wait for Steam on sale this month/Jan of course.
 
Picked this up for $30 on Cyber Monday. Currently I can't play for 20 minutes without the game crashing on me. No problems in any other game - Skyrim, Metro2033, Crysis 2, Starcraft - only this game crashes on me. Supposedly this is AMD's fault on drivers, but I'm pretty sick of it. The game would be fun if it weren't for that... as of right now, I'm about to go read a book. Maybe EA is doing a good thing releasing buggy games...
 
I rather buy a key for $24.99 or so. That's what I did, working ever since.

Runs fine on my Radeon HD 6950 with a x4 955 on Win 7 x64.
 
This is a lukewarm deal. I still would wait for Steam's xmas sale since it will probably be marked down.

As for the game, I bought a Russian key as well no problems. But I wish they implemented Black Ops dedicated server function and had more than 16 players. It pains me to see what could have been a return to form from the disaster that was MW2. Oh well, I guess IW is pretty much dead since they sold out to Kotick.
 
i just made an impulse buy on this. mp sucks i think. bo is much better,
 
I must admit, i love the COD franchise, but this is a TOTAL rip off. I bought COD MW2 and played the hell out of it on multiplayer. i still love the game, but no one plays it since black ops came out. I played black ops on xbox 360 for awhile, and again I enjoyed it-- but its just a map pack as others have stated.

I havent play MW3 but based on what im seeing , its the same old game with some new maps. at $60 its a complete rip off, but i dont think its going to be getting cheaper anytime soon.

I wouldn't expect much more innovation from the COD Franchise. Every single innovation from COD1 onwards was thought up and beta tested by the modding community that IW killed off when releasing MW2.

All you will be getting from here on out is map packs. Filled with smaller maps because they are too lazy to make bigger maps for PC gamers so we can have 50+ player servers.

FYI, the code is only good for like two dozen games that they've deemed the "best selling games of 2011"... I wasn't particularly annoyed by that because I got my code after a $5 purchase of Metro, and Deus EX & Mass Effect 2 are both on the list (I've yet to buy either, missed Sunday's $20 Deus Ex sale too, d'oh). Seems they're giving those codes away like candy right now at Amazon, can't stack them and get DE for free in January tho. :p

Ever heard of inflation? You think it costs the same to develop a game today as it did 20 or even 10 years ago?
 
I hardly call $39 a bargain, and this game is a POS, I only paid $29 for this game and I regret my purchase, what a waste of time.

Ever heard of price fixing??Im not talking 10 years ago..more like 4.PC games were usually $10 or more cheaper than console versions because of the licensing fees paid to the console makers.Its no secret Activision started charging $60 for the PC version of COD games just because..Since the console version was also $60 at the same time,your logic falls flat..carry on..

The timing of when prices started surging doesn't change anything, it might just be part of the reason the industry was stunted since game prices didn't keep pace. I'm not saying Activision aren't weasels, but to expect the prices to remain the same for decades is silly. At some point they're gonna rise even if it takes one slimey company to set the pace.
 
Well just to let you guys know... They usually never dip this low for any COD based game. Black Ops was $50-60 dollars for the longest time, till it finally dropped.

You'll be waiting a long time before you'll see it drop below 40. Till the next installment comes out.
 
well, I bit on it. I already have it for PS3, but some of my friends also play it on PC. At this price, I couldn't help but grab a copy. As others have mentioned, a deal like this is almost unheard of on a COD game this soon after release.
 
Well guys I bought this last night and played for an hour. I'm very disappointed in the graphics. At first I really thought my resolution was set wrong, like 1280x960 or something because the graphics look worse then MW2. I triple checked my resolution was set at 2560x1440 and it looks so blurry and the textures look so hazy.. I guess this makes me appreciate BF3 or even BFBC2 even more
