I didnt know Civ IV didnt use multiple cores..Never caused a problem for me though. What did Civ V implement to prevent the Large stack fighting?
It didn't.
Play a game with all civ on a giant earth map.
After 50 turns it turns to a crawl.

That never happened to me.
Not 18 civs.
50.
18 is fine but if you use the mod with 50 it's crazy how bad it lags.
50 civs gadzooks, Man! I retract my previous statement about memory alone...I think the whole game was never optimized for that many civs anyway
That's the best gaming news I've heard in a looong time! Civ V FTW! my brother dad and i play civ 4 against each other all the time. when you're playing from different states and not online at the same time sometimes its awesome you can play the game by "email" time flies away when civing!

heard its inspired by the old Panzer General game style, which is alright with me cause Panzer General and its various spin offs were the shit as well, although I wonder if it'll still feel like Civ.
Where did you read this! I loved Panzer General!
epic 20 hour games... go go!
Games to buy this year:
SC2, Civ5.... so far that's it![]()
I'm really looking forward to this. I'll still frequently put in two day sessions with beyond the sword. Between this and stardock's elemental (master of magic 2?) it's going to be a good year for strategy.
I'm also loving the hex board.
My nights are going to be filled with..
"Just one more turn..."
