What would be the best quality PSU for about $30-$50? Modular and non-modular options please. Thanks

Wait for the Antec EA500 or EA650 to hit $50 with free shipping during one of the many Antec PSU sales that Newegg has. Otherwise I recommend upping your budget for a quality PSU. I recommend this PSU:
BFG Tech LS-550 550W PSU - $67 w/ free shipping
Honestly, you've done a ton of research into the graphics cards yet you chose to skimp on research and buying the most important part in a PC, the PSU? Might want to read this PSU FAQ:

It would but it costs way too much money at $60 since for just $7 more you could get the higher wattage/amperage BFG PSU I linked to earlier. IIRC, when I recommended that Antec PSU, it was at a considerably lower price. You recommended http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371005 a while back. Would this be able to support my build?
Since this computer isn't going to be heavy-duty as the main build you have been helping me on, I was trying to find a PSU that would have the same high quality as ones around $80, but maybe not as many features that would help bring the price back down. Or am I just dreaming up of a unicorn here?
If I'm planning on using this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163116 for this build, is a modular psu necessary, or can it function well with a normal one?
Avoid. It's based on the FSP Episilon PSU design which has out of spec ripple, or voltage fluctuations, at high loads that can damage or kill your system. Granted, you may not reach such high loads but why pay for a PSU that can kill your system?
Skimping out on a PSU is bad juju.
Yes, but since the build would easily run on an Earth Watts 380 just about any PSU mentioned in this thread so far would be far from "skimping".
In the meantime, is this a good or bad quality psu:

Bad quality. Very bad quality.
Bad quality. Very bad quality.
OCZ Gamextreme 700 sli is great, just don't max out it's capacity.
Or any idea on how good this one might be? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023
A lot of people bought this and it has good ratings, so I'm not sure if that means anything here:

Newegg ratings don't mean shit. The people who write them often have no idea what they're talking about. Make sure to get your information from credible sources (this forum is a very good one).
Again, an Antec earthwatts 500watts for $35. You can't beat it. I've ordered from PCboost numerous times.
What's the difference between PCboost's EA-500D http://www.pcboost.com/store/viewitem.asp?IDProduct=13928
and
newegg's EA-500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007?
$55.
That's about it. Both are Delta designs. They're the same psu
I tried looking for different prices on the EA-500D, but google shopping doesn't give anything. So I tried researching a bit more and apparently the 500D is using cheaper quality components than the normal one. Someone said that the EA-500 listed on Newegg is actually the 500D, so you're right that they're the same (newegg just mislabeled it). So if I want to get the normal EA-500, the price is probably going to be much more than $35. Even though the delta product is using cheaper components, is it still reliable, or should I not consider it anymore? If I drop this from consideration, I'm leaning towards the Corsair 400CX or the EA-430 (although I hope this one doesn't use delta products too)
Ok dude, some clarification:
- ALL EA500 being sold anywhere are now the EA500D model. The original Seasonic built EA500 are no longer sold anywhere.
- The only Earthwatts still being made by Seasonic is the EA380. The EA430, EA500 and EA650 are now made by Delta
- The EA500D should still be a reliable PSU considering that it's bigger bro got such a good review here:

For my setup, which one should I get: Antec EA-500, Antec EA-430, or Corsair 400CX?
All are about equally good, and will be able to handle the load fine. Just get whichever is the cheapest.
