not really. it was my first foray into the Battle Royale game mode so i was just happy to pick up any AR and SMG. i seem to recall liking the ICR-7 assault rifle. what about you? did you play the beta?
 
I wish there was a trial of the game so I could see if I like it more than the beta.
 
I didn't install either beta but played BO3 some more. They kept the ICR and it's good, pretty fast reload IIRC.

Basically going for the cycle this time around Treyarch are suppose to be the good guys :D
Sledgehammer games is a newcomer but they do a good job whatever game they develop.
Infinity War does good sometimes but they started it all. I just think gamers perfer older games due to appeal of low pologons and textures.

I only buy the Treyarch games, hence I only own BO1-4 :)

Can't wait for tomorrow night, have 2 cases of beer in the fridge, a backup 40oz, bloody mary mix and a bottle of Smirnoff, set to go.

I just need to get through the last add on pack in Far Cry 5 (Zombies) tonight and I will be dedicated to BO4 lol.
 
I preferred the IW releases over the Treyarch ones. The Treyarch games always felt more cartoony while the IW games were more gritty.

I think your right the game is going to be over 112 gigs I upgraded to two 1 TB Samsung 860 drives for this reason.

That sounds about right.

The pre-install was something over 56GB and I hear there is a day-one patch at least that big.

The campaigns in the IW releases have always been the best, even after Zampella and co left. But the Treyarch releases always had the better multiplayer, in my opinion.
 
Just bought this on my PC, first PC cod I've purchased since cod4 lol. Actually pretty excited for this, not worried about my home PC but here's to hoping my work laptop can handle it at all, even in ugly ass ugly settings (860m for a gpu :( ) lol
 
I'm downloading it right now, should be good times tonight playing blackout. Wouldn't it be funny if I got into a game Dr Disrepect and killed him? LOL (that guy already loves this game).

Holy shit so its gonna be 120GB game. Goddamn my poor SSD hates these huge game sizes.
 
Anyone know what the numbers were at 4k? I'm ruinning a 1070 and want to buy but would like to be able to play at 4k.

You're not going to be able to play at 4K with a 1070. Maybe with all the settings as low as they'll go.

I'm running a 1080Ti at 2K and it's in the 70-80 range. I think they had the FPS capped during beta's. So, might do better on release.

yeah, you can run it at 4k (like my obvious lack of any facts, just like your lack of system config)

That’s why my E drive is a 4TB WD spinner :)

There was a time where tons of crap got installed on the C drive regardless of where you installed things. Thankfully those days are over. Mostly....

I like frames, I had to drop to 1440p with my 1070, it was fighting to stay pegged at the 90FPS cap on Medium/High.
 
Yup, I'm installing the new nvidia drivers now. Gonna play in a few. Watching Dr Disrespect right now, and its hilarious how excited this dude is.
 
I was on a 1080 in the beta and had to drop the rez to 1080p to get the smoothness I wanted.

Bought a 2080 Ti and it's a night and day difference but they optimized the game engine I'm sure.

Loving it.

Running great on my 2080 Ti at 4k maxed out.
 
i'm in a weird spot here.
- i played the Blackout beta, my first time trying a battle royale game of any kind, and ended up loving it
- to kill time before the BO4 release i bought PUBG
- PUBG turned out to be pretty damn fun
- after a few rounds tonight of Blackout i think i prefer PUBG

more time with BO4 might change things, it is a lot of fun. the gun play is obviously a lot better. the pacing is a little too rushed for this game mode in my opinion. it's complete speculation but i feel like BFV's battle royale (whenever it releases) will be the sweet spot between these games.

I highly doubt BFV is going to be your savior...

Weirdly enough I started on Zombies to get my settings setup for Blackout, and I'm addicted, I usually hate zombies...
 
Crap was hoping to use 1080ti SLI for this game and here tonight I played it and damn seemed pretty smooth online.. so finally I open up the OSD and I see 140+ frame rate using 1440 ultra wide. :/ Damn single 1080ti kicks the crap out of this game.. no chance for SLI action for me.. this monitor is a 120Hz Gsync screen. So I need to enable V-Sync and its a sold 120 frame rate. I guess a good thing.

Feels like I just paid a fortune for this game. I've never spent over $60 on a game and that was ~5 years ago.
Anyway, the battle royale mode is a ton better than Fortnite. Never played PUBG since it is not free.
My RX580 does a decent job at maintaining 1080p/75hz on high graphic settings.
 
Won the fist match playing Control took me a few to figure the layout of the Map. 13K-17D :D Game has a really stronge vibe about the game.
