There may be some room for improvement, but that should be a great machine. :)
 
I would consider trying to go cheaper on the case and shifting that to your GPU budget instead. The CM 690 II for instance could net you $40 extra moving you up to a HD 6870 at least.
 
im thinking of changing the mobo to the msi p67a-gd65
i heard its a good board and read read reviews on it
i want to get a full tower because of wiring n stuff

i realized that there are two different hd 6850 one from sapphire and other from xfx whats the difference?

So you need CPU, mobo, RAM, GPU, HDD, DVD burner, case, PSU, HSF, and OS correct? Monitor as well? All of that part of the $1000 budget?

XFX has a lifetime warranty and better customer support than Sapphire. Sapphire is cheaper.
 
idk what to look for in a mobo really but basically i want it to last for at least 2-3years
os is not part of the budget hoping to bootleg it somehow if not ill buy the oem

Ok that really doesn't help narrow down which mobo you should get. Any decent mobo will last 2-3 years. Considering that you cannot figure out what features to look for, then go for the Asus as you have not provided any good reason or justification for the higher costs of the MSI mobo.

Two things:
- Don't be a bloody cheapskate: Buy the OEM OS.
- Any more discussion of bootlegging an OS is not allowed here on the forums.

CPU, mobo, RAM, GPU, HDD, DVD burner, case, PSU, HSF, moniter are all part of the budget.
 
So everything below has to be part of the $1000 budget? Do shipping and taxes have to be included as well?

I don't know if this has been asked, but I think you chose a mATX board and one of the largest full tower ATX cases on the market?

EDIT: ah, you are also looking at the MSI ATX board, okay :)
