they had 120GB 320s for $180 but they're all gone.

What do you think about these monitor prices?

Monitor isn't included in my budget but I still might pick one up. The budget is for the computer alone.

Also, how would a monitor that size be at 1080p? would it look like when you turn down the resolution to 720p on a 24" 1200p monitor?
The monitor native re is 1080p so that means it cant do more than that right?

Finding an "ideal" monitor is very subjective. I suggest trying one of those monitors out at a physical store before you make your choice.

More often than not, the native resolution of a monitor is also its maximum resolution. But why would you want to turn down the resolution to 720p? (Proportion-wise, yes, 720p and 1080p share the same 16:9 viewing ratio.)

No no, what I'm asking is will a 1080p look scaled up (you know, kind of blurred) on a 27" monitor like 720p looks on a 24"?
Isn't 1080p too small for a 27" monitor? Monitors aren't like TVs in the sense that the bigger they are the farther away you're going to watch it from, so 1080p on a 27" monitor might look too scaled up from the normal distance people seat from them on their desk.
I can try them out, problem is the sale goes only for the next 9 hours and the second option I listed has only 1 left in stock at that price.
First 1 has 10 but still only 9 hours left, so no time to try them before losing the sale.
I can buy 1 and return it if I don't like it though can't I?

By the way, if I do get a 3D monitor, it won't be for playing games in 3D. I prefer games in 2D.
It would be cool to have 3D for movies though, but i it worth $200 more?

That's gonna be up to you if 3D movies are worth $200. Do note however that you need Nvidia cards for 3D blu-ray playback.

I decided Ill be getting a new 24" monitor because a 27" will make the image look stretched. No 3D either, so what's the best out there? I've read some places that the viewsonic is considered the best by many.
