BTX cases? Is SFF 'ready' for Conroe?

Just a quick question - but what micro BTX cases are available ....or rather are any good ones available?

From what I've managed to check, there seems to be remarkably few micro BTX cases available. Given It's taken a susprisingly long time for mATX cases to mature and get where they are now, should we have reason to expect good BTX cases to be a long time coming? Or do you think once Conroe hits BTX cases will take off and given the nature of BTX should hold manufacturers to better cooling standards?

With Conroe looking as promising at is it is a shame there are no good cases that are both mATX and micro BTX compatible...

A case with Qmicra's cooling and BTX compatible would be great... ;)

Damnit, I made a post like this and no one responded.

I think they're are still going to be mATX Conroe boards.

I talked to Dave about making a BTX Mobo Tray for the QM. He says they're looking into it.

Who cares about mBTX? Just use the mATX boards that have been announced (several so far listed in the mATX motherboard sticky) :). BTX doesn't offer any real advantages, especially in an SFF system which isn't a typical cooling setup anyway.

the way BTX is might make it easier for SFF cases to be made. So it is hard to say really

I thought intel was ditching ATX in favor of BTX....

yeah, no kidding. I did a search for 'Intel dropping BTX' and was replaced with 'dropping ATX', so..

I'd like to see some mBTX cases aswell. Hell, any decent amount of BTX cases to choose from would be good enough.

Yeah, in news from years ago ;). I don't know if they decided to stop that slow transition, but they might have.

itnel needed BTX when its roadmap was slated to have 4ghz+ prescott CPU's starting with the 'tejas' core. instead of better cooling, intel decided to wake the fuck up and make cooler running chips, IE- conroe/yonah/merom. So now intel doesnt need BTX, so they ditched it in favor of these cooler CPU's.

I agree with the OEM and Intel made motherboards are going to be the only BTX boards.
