Borderlands 4

you can either follow the bad insane man on X or theres a subreddit that posts them /borderlandsshiftcodes

theres 2 per day at least

also, you dont wanna open those chests right away, you'll outlevel the weapons so fast. try to hold off using them until level 50
I open a chest every 10 or so levels. Sometimes I open 2. I already have like 15 keys and am level 25 (going to level 26). The guns allow me to have fun right now. I know people keep it for playing post 50 but that is not how I play. Once I finish the main story the likelihood of me coming back to this game is literally zero. Thanks either way, I appreciate the codes.

ya, makes sense. i do the same. when the game gets too hard or my weapons dont do damage anymore, i pop a few keys.

wasnt trying to tell you how to play the game, sorry.

I used about 5 keys but have 7 in reserve it pays not to rush the game. With Flings trainer I had unlimited Keys in BL3.
When my vacation starts in a week I think I'll have 4-5 more keys for the start of next month. Gearbox should be more liberal with keys in the first few months of the game's launch instead of 6 months from now.

Just did a run of the 1st Boss using Moxxi's Splash Down Machine I wasn't sure how to rerun bosses. Got a Purple Machine Gun out of it.
It cost me $9,000 to use the machine though think I'm hovering around 180,000 I would have more but died maybe 30+ times.

Just tired this game on my Soundblaster Katana V2 with Subwoofer sounds really crisp think I'll use it for the rest of the playthrough.
Usually leave my Katana for PS5 games but I hardly use it and the Edifiers are really too close for lots of gun sounds. If you never gamed on a Soundbar I recommend trying it sometime when I played Ghost of Tsuhima with it the directional Air with the swipe the PS5 controller was emanating though my gaming room something speakers couldn't really do.

I've been having no performance issues with a 4080S 7800X3D. I do see a lot of glitches though. Floating NPCs, NPCs clipping into the floor, stuff just straight up not spawning causing a forced game restart. Gameplay is fun, I love the way they did weapons with the various manufacturers. Jakobs on everything is OP with my vex crit build.

Here's a quest that I believe was supposed to spawn a control panel / buttons somewhere.

I respeced my character already I only level 16 trying to open critical hit tree on right side so I speced on everything on the right side I need two more points. The bigger Dome perk is alot better for targeting stuff

Any good vex guides. I really don’t know wtf I am doing with speccing the character. I am all over the place and at level 26/27 it is starting to show.

Eh, I am doing the non pet summons to have the reapers as a distraction and it's working out pretty good.

It probably helps I farm for a new slugger shotgun every couple levels and go for headshots.

Try the orange tree and focus on crit damage / chance. Trouble actually is a great aid in non-boss fights.

I've been playing on Hard and didn't get a Legendary drop until I finished the quest that takes you to the base with Rush for the first time. I think some drops are simply gated.
I disagree. 2nd playthrough on Vex I got a Leg on the way to Splashzone, on Hard.

I'll give it a look when I get home, I have finished the main story line with the current build with almost no issues.

It took 2 tries to kill the time keeper on hard, first time I accidently yeeted myself off the edge, second time I used the slugger and rainbow vomit shotgun and he went down pretty easy

STALKER 2 definitely had flickering but I haven't touched it in quite some time now.
Yeah, for me Stalker 2 was the main game that had awful VRR flickering for me. I got it in some menus of other games but it was almost constant in that game. Main reason why I disabled it.

I am on the green tree with Vex. I was doing Ok but lately mobs have been level 28 and 30 whereas I am level 26/27. May need to do some sides. Also I haven’t had a gold drop in forever. Time to use a key I guess.

Splashzone is so easy to farm. Idk if his drop pool is good or not, but he drops golds every few kills and takes like a minute per kill.

Yes, according to the dev's that by design to 'soft force' people to do something else besides running the MSQ.

Ok will research. Not even sure what is splashzone.
He's the very first boss you encounter getting the glide jet pack thing, middle bottom of the Fadefields. If you go back to his area you'll see the Moxie billboard that you can pay a small fee to respawn him. Most of the bosses in the game will have this feature. He drops 3 really good Legendaries for as early as he appears. The Lead Balloon Shotgun, which has a MIRV that jumps up and rains down, the Jelly grenade which I don't have / haven't gotten, and the Fireworks shield that when you kill something it spawns homing missiles that seem to deal significant damage on level to minors / unshielded.

At 28 I'd say farm Sludgemaw. Kickballer (shotgun) and Onion (shield) are S-tier. Birt's Bees can also be A-tier, or the boss Horace for GMR or Aegon's Dream, but his loot pool is much bigger than Splashzone / Sludgemaw.

If you want help farming, or just someone to show you how, PM me here and I'll give you my Steam info and I can join on you with my lvl 50 Rafa riccochet build.

How to Clear Shader Cache

Clear Shader Cache

There are different steps for clearing your graphics card's shader cache depending on your hardware. Listed below are the steps for Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.

Shader Cache for Nvidia

  1. Open RunCommand by pressing the Windows Key and R.
  2. Copy and paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache in the text bar.
  3. Delete any files over 10mb in this folder (over 10 mb). However, this may clear shaders for other programs.
This is how to clear shader cache for Nvidia drivers. However, this fix may delete shaders for other games and programs. Double check the files because you may delete important shaders.

Shader Cache for AMD

  1. Install the AMD Adrenalin app, then open it.
  2. Select Gaming, then Graphics
  3. Scroll down to bottom of the screen. Then, select the Reset Shader Cache option
This is how to clear shader cache for AMD drivers. This option will clear all shaders for any programs using the AMD graphics driver. When you have to open your games and programs, they will have to recompile or reinstall their shaders.

Benefits of Clearing Shader Cache

Helps in Performance and Stability Issues

Clearing out your graphics card's shader cache can help you if you are experiencing performance issues such as stuttering and frame rate dro

I think my only real complaint right now, and I'm at lvl 34 is the lack of interesting characters. BL1/2 had all the interesting characters, some of them ended up in 3, but so far its just moxi and claptrap and claptrap is short lived (so far)

everyone is just forgettable.

I feel like the stuttering thing is really only an issue for me when on the vehicle. it is atrocious when not just walking/running places.

This is for stutters from the last patch I did it anyway just to be safe.
After the patch, the game did a full shaders recompile at startup, then shut down and restarted. Then did another short shader compile when I loaded into the game.

I think I'm good.

I have Shaders loading when going into the Rebirth Canal must a Unreal thing.
It's compiling shaders, especially when you're loading into a new area. It should be very brief thing.

I occasionally get like a half-second of hitching when traveling in the game world. I'm sure it's because it's loading some of the game world in. If you don't compile shaders in advance, it will probably be worse.

Are there actually day/night cycles in the game? I've got 11 hours of playtime and it's been daylight the entire time.

I think there is when I attacked the town early in game with the guy behind the waterfall and radio it was pitch black.

Yes, but it's a longer cycle compared to most games. I like it. It's a bit more immersive this way.

I got this legendary sniper rifle drop and it’s just unbelievable, literally one shot one kill many time, a couple shots and bosses are done. I’m using it on level 28 and it’s still kicking butt.

I’ve been using a lot of sub-machine guns and this one is a beast, rapid fire and over 600dps.

That's one of, if not *the* best, under-barrel for burst damage.

You can build into some crit / gun dmg and that will 1 shot bad asses. I'd not be surprised to see something where if can probably take out 1 portion of a bosses health bar.
The knives are crit monsters. Both the ordinance and underbarrel kind. Crit builds are strong.
