Frame Times Mean Shit - you just can't get over it. HardOCP put frame times in perspective as in VR testing which shows relevance to prevent going into reprojection - still the testing always is based on user experience and not just a single item being looked at using a canned benchmark with zero actual involvement.
Please keep posting stuff like this- it's so easy to make points when you make them for me!
Since you seem to have trouble with them, some definitions are in order: the word objective
This is what Kyle did not do for this test; of course, he's not claiming to do so, and he's controlling as many variables as possible given actual hardware availability. This doesn't make the test bad or wrong, but it does make it limited. Which, incidentally, is what Kyle is claiming it to be. It's not a full review.
Here's another: the word subjective
This is what Kyle did for this test.
See, you keep claiming that the subjective side is more important, but that's only true for the end user. In reviews, objective testing is more important, because that allows end users to make informed decisions. And for that, frametime analysis is what we can use to break down what's going on, and prove what is seen in subjective testing.
Of course, we know why you do this: you seem to think that subjective Youtube reviews that track frames per second are valid, when they're literally the worst source you could possibly use as a reference for gameplay!
To summarize: your argument is that you'd rather use people claiming they 'feel' a certain level of performance without having had reviewed the data that came from that performance than have people actually look at the data and provide an analysis.
Is the earth flat? Do vaccinations cause autism?
I can't wait to hear your 'opinion'!
