The 19" LCD looks good for $200. The P180 for $99 is a steal also, not to mention those hard drives!! Yum yum
 
I guess the 200gb hd was cut off, definitely dont see it in the $29.99 section in the ad scans. Anyhow bf2005.net you dont need to sign up for scans, compusa has tons of rebates on just about everything though, not a first stop place, and I've had bad experiences with their rebates. (Although im sure various mfgs will make good, I just dont trust compusa mail in's)

I might pick up that saitek keyboard for $20, my old logitech beige doesnt match my case anymore. Although I would perfer the saitek that says executive on it, as it makes me feel important, but I guess an extra number pad cant be bad. Guess I better check if that rebate is compusa exclusive, may be able to get a better deal on the net if I can use the rebate with it.

Just found the hd, doesnt mention much, and I expect I dont want it.

Every large decent deal depends on signing up for AOL. I thought we were done with those stupid deals a couple of years ago.
 
I got an email from the black friday website for Compusa, now looking at the sale items.
They have a antec 500w powersupply with smart cabling $49.99 after rebate, which really is still a good deal after rebates.

but still the saitek keyboard looks even better at the price of: 19.99 after rebate, I sure hope that is the one with the blue backlighting to it.

I see on the compusa website that they also carry the logitech g15 keyboard, I hope that is onsale also.

By the looks of it, price of the VX924 I just bought isn't going down. Same rebate I got, so I'm happy.

How early should I get to CompUSA..before they sell out? I don't mind waiting in lines..I just don't want them to sell out. 6 AM there not early enough?

It all depends on what your CompUSA is like, and what the area you live in is like. My CompUSA (Troy, MI) had a line last year that started at about 2:30am. Although the one further out (West Bloomfield, MI) you could pull up at the open of the store and get all of the good stuff.

CompUSA opens at midnight on Thursday, so if you get there at 6 am there won't be much left.
 
for all you guys that are going to camp out and stuff.... why don't you just buy before hand and then pricematch afterwards? isn't that the whole point of the black friday sites?

The door busters are normally for 6:00am or whenever they are going to open up early. I don't think CompUSA opens at midnight on black friday.

From what I've read on forums and stuff here they won't price match. Either that or you've gotta be a real dick about it, and I can't be a dick to some 16 year old who just wants gas money.

i thought most places these days have policies where if you buy something this week and it goes on sale next week they refund you the difference? are you saying that just compusa won't do this?
 
I'd imagine there are exceptions to all of those policies allowing for events such as Black Friday to be exempt from price matching.
 
Yes, usually on the black friday ads it will be printed 'in store purchases between these hours only, no pricematches on earlier purchases' or something like that.

Go read the ads. CompUSA is opening at 11:59 pm on Thursday and staying open until Midnight on Friday.

I think I have something disabled here at work and I can't view any of these ads... Do you have to sign up for AOL for the hard drive? And what's the price before MIR?

You don't have to sign up for AOL for the drive. I don't recall offhand what the pre-rebate price was but I think there is about $80 in rebates total.

That's what I get. I figure it's cuz I'm using the 'Net from work and they have something disabled or blocked. Honestly... I'm not a tech, here, so I'm not gonna go messing with stuff to figure it out. :) Are you at work, too?
 
No I'm not at work so you can't blame your zealous IT staff.

I think they must be offline or doing something with them.

Nothing really jumping out at me.

The X800XL for $200 is a good price, though i'm not in the market for a video cart. Nothing else really strikes me.
 
The AOL signup is for a free $250 gift card... Then some of their "best" deals include you using that $250. For example, the $99 Sempron 3100+ doesn't seem to be too bad a deal... Until you notice that they are expecting you to use your $250 card on it. Otherwise it's $399 - a $50 MIR.

Neither the internal nor the external drives require the AOL $250. The internal is $119 out the door with $90 in MIRs.

Edit: Oh yeah, the 17" LCD is the Syncmaster 730B, not a 730P as noted above. It doesn't require the AOL but has $100 in MIRs. Stats are:

I work at CompUSA. They will open on Thursday (Thanksgiving) at 11:59 pm, and remain open 24 hours. This is a nation wide thing.
