God that makes me even more excited for my spotswood cases. Any idea on an eta for them evil? I think he was going to be starting on them soon. I suppose i could pm him but i don't want to be a nuisance lol.

Connection troubles @simplecoin! The pool is acting up again!
It's been the same group of workers...for the most part! Hashrate hasn't drastically changed!
We can't be hurtin' the server THAT bad!

With those kinds of cards, more heat comes out the other side than the pci bracket side.

My hashrate is a little gimped at the moment (2x unlocked 6950s + 5830 out of action - system maintenance) :(
I see someone got in on the $35AR A870U3 deal :p
 
Today was too hot for my two mining rigs in the garage to survive which is 6 cards total. They wouldn't stay on in the oppressive heat. I can't wait for winter to get here. (I'm loderunner).

Where are you located? I left my 4 card setup running today in Central Texas with the windows open and beyond a little ash damage, the GPU's never passed 80C with an ambient temp of 36C.

Purchased another 5830 for 119 tonight off Ebay, I seriously have an addiction.

Yeah.. BTC has bene my excuse to buy up a whole bunch of hardware that I can later either give out for xmas presents or sell when I upgrade.. Since its all basically paying itself oof she cant really complain.. But Im gonna stop adding systems after my next double stack from spots gets here, just gonna work on upgrading the cards as time goes on.

I like it too! I know I never would have had so many GPU's at my disposal if it weren't for bitcoin!
 
Anyone got trouble connecting to simplecoin?My miner couldn't connect so i have to switch to slush's pool again.
 
I switched over 1600Mhash but now I see that I need to setup a backup pool since I can't babysit the clients. How do I do this in guiminer, I just create a second miner with the -f60 flag from what I read?
 
if you have a miner setup for your backup pool, just bring up the the console tab and copy the connection info from the backup pool and add it to your flags. BTW, do not put a "-" in front of the information like a normal flag.
 
I think my brain is broken this morning, because I did not understand that at all. All my console tab is showing is this over and over:

(paraphrased)
Listener for default pool.simplecoin.us:8337 problems communicationg with bitcoin rpc
Listener for default pool.simplecoin.us:8337 No more backup pools left. Using primary and starting over

My second tab however is working away fine on btcguild. Will it switch back to simplecoin is the question?
 
I use cgminer with Simplecoin as my main pool and ARSBitcoin as my backup. CGMiner switched all of my miners to ARSBitcoin, and now just auto switched back to Simplecoin as it is now back up.

Would think it would auto switch you in GUIMiner, but I have never used it.
 
I got bored today and submitted almost every unrated BTC site to fortiguard for review and got every one I submitted unblocked.. so for any of those who have a fortiguard firewall at work, a lot of sites should be unblocked now.

In other news, I switched my miners back over to Deepbit until Simplecoin stabilize and for the last hour and my 2700'ish Mhash is showing up as over 6Ghash in Deepbit and accumulating accordingly.. weird
 
Rolling average modified by luck. Also the fact that you are now mining in a pool that actually finds blocks lol.

So I figured I'd post my setup. 2 identical rigs each pulling in 1 GH/s with 4x6850's on each shelf. Have on other rig in my bedroom with 1 x 6950 which will do mining whenever i'm not gaming



 
Damn,i was so dumb that i left the rig mining on SC for the night.Just woke up and realized that it is on idle and i got only 265 shares on SC due to connection problem. :(

Should have switch to slush instead. :(
 
Sorry for the downtime... but the time to migrate came before I could gracefully and seamlessly switch over.

Both master & slave sql servers have been moved to their new & upgraded homes. The solidcoin client now has block-monitoring built-in so it will no longer destroy the bitcoin client.

Yep, should be safe ;)

With 2 new upgraded sql servers (with mysql 5.5 & 4x the ram dedicated to the in ram sql tables) and the terribad default solidcoin client replaced it should be solid.

Hmm, the price keeps falling the way it is, I may end up having to ~Gasp~ start pulling power to components.
