BF4 $47.99 @ GameFly

I bit. I felt safer ordering from Gamefly than those grey market code sites, but now I'm seeing I don't get the code until Oct. 29th. I thought I'd get it and enter it into Origin so I could DL it and wait for it to be unlocked. Plus, don't I get BF4 beta access with pre-order? How can Origin know I pre-ordered?

Its an open beta you don't need to pre-order to play it.

It's only "early" access for a few more days, actually 1. Open beta starts on Friday.

Very nice, I got this pricing for BF4 previously through a Gamefly promotion and an Amazon one. From playing the demo-beta, I'm confident I'll get my money's worth easily just as I did with BF3.

Hmm got the code to work for BF4 but it doesn't apply the 20% for Premium, anyone else getting that? Total for both is $98 which is just the $110-12.

Got that, I sent a CS request to them to see if its intentional, holding off till I see a response.

so we don't get a code before release so we can download or what?

Previous codes worked on Premium also, so it may just be an error that it isn't working on that too with this new one.

I purchased Borderlands 2 on a pre-order from gamefly and they were able to release the keys so the game could be pre-loaded. Either way you'll get the key in your email, you won't need to download and install anything extra.

I wish they would show the key so I could pre-load and get the extra day or two to play the beta but for this price I guess it's ok.

also bit for a copy of BF4 -- was secretly hoping to get a copy of BF4 in an R9 290x preorder that was a huge let down.

Beta is fun as hell -- even at full price before the 20% off I'd have gotten my money's worth easily.

It's the base game only, no china rising, no premium, no battle packs. You can pay best price @ amazon $59.96 for game, china rising, and 3 battle packs if you need to....but the premium will include china rising as well as other DLC.

Premium will most likely go down in price or have a discount by the time china rising is released....or at least that is my justification for my purchase from gamefly.

Also, green man games has instant cash back of $6 or credit of $8 for premium, and that's where my justification stems from.

Sooooooo, I wish I could cancel my order from the other site, and I actually took a risk at the other site, GF would have been much less of a risk, but since I cant pull my order from the other site, yay, I am taking it in the chin, and maybe even more if the other site was a risk and scams me.

Might as well spend an extra 2 bucks (49.99) an pre-order the Premium Edition which includes all the expansion packs as well as other stuff...

You are misinformed.

THIS is the expansion.

You can not buy this and expect to play. You still need BF4.

This is a $110 game if you plan on purchasing both.

Overall it's a good deal from a reputable site - $51 dollars out the door with taxes and everything for the core game with China rising expansion included.

I'll pick up BF4 premium pack once the DLC starts to hit - between now and december there are plenty of opportunities to pick up BF4 premium at a discount.

I'm normally the most stingy of people when it comes to paying for software, but for the amount of use/enjoyment I will be getting, paying $100 for the complete package is a pretty good deal to me.

Attempting to use the listed code on either the base game or the base game with premium is giving the message:

"Sorry, coupon code GFDOCT20 could not be applied to any of the items in your cart."

The current 'best' deal I know of for BF4 is through GMG. You can either choose eight bucks in a chargeback, or ten bucks in credit. The chargeback evidently takes a few days. Premium comes with a choice of six bucks back or eight bucks in credit, so theoretically you could:

1. Buy BF4 for 59.99.
2. Use the ten bucks in credit on BF4 Premium.
3. Choose a chargeback for BF4 Premium.

End cost: $93.98 for both, for a savings of 16 dollars off retail, or 14.5% off.

And no, unfortunately you can't use the currently valid 20% off coupon on either the base game or Premium. I've found any preorder that makes mention of the "cash/credit" mention exempts it from coupon codes.

EDIT: I just did this myself, and the chargeback on the Premium purchase credited instantly to my Visa.

I'll wait till closer to release date Im sure there will be better deals. Amazon proved that with bf3.

I really dislike this whole DLC practice from the last few years, i guess its result from the console gaming industry to milk consumers for more money.

I actually prefer the "old" style of DLC to the *new* style of "Season Passing."

Arkham Origins has one coming as well. http://www.gamespot.com/news/wb-defends-batman-arkham-origins-season-pass-6415253

They should simply go back to selling "Ultimate" versions of a game. EA's merely doing what they always do with their best IP - seeing just how much they can conceivably charge.

It's a result of modern warfare gouging everybody, BUT IT WORKED. So why not follow suit? At least it's one set price and could say $10 bucks / DLC. It's just all up front instead of charging per release, which is probably going to be available as well at a little more of a cost.

Battlelog > Anything steam has to offer.

I have no problem with Origin or Battlelog overall -- if you are a "stats/customize" kinda guy, then yeah battlelog is lightyears head of Steam.

Still -- there is just that feeling of missing efficiency when I have to have a whole different program installed just to be able to access BF3/BF4.

*shrugs* The new BF4 UI is a pretty good upgrade overall... it's slick, fast, and I can seemingly get to everything I need with 2 or 3 clicks.
