I am thinking of purchasing an Asus P5K deluxe but what are your recommendations?

I like to keep my options open.

Processor will be Q6600.

I'm going to get an Abit IP35 Pro. Haven't used it myself, but it seems to fit best for what I want.

Giga byte p35c dsr. Great board for overclocking and supports all future cpus and ddr2 and ddr3.

No, sorry, the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R

Ahh... Well, I was thinking that the DS3R is more of a mid-range which is why I mentioned the DQ6 because it's a high-end board on my previous post.

But thanks for the recommendation. It's a nice mobo for the budget.

I agree with everyone here :).

Asus P5K Deluxe
Abit IP35 Pro
Gigabyte P35-DQ6

The lower end DS3 boards are also good. The one DS3 mentioned here with DDR2 and 3 slots is another option if you want DDR3 memory capability for future use.
