Battlefield V

That LOD hack is very annoying. I have zero problems if they get banned for it. But it's a driver tweak, not a game hack. Be interesting to see how it goes.

New patch tomorrow. Supposed to fix the footsteps issue and subtract the kill cam from overall spawn time.

2142 was OK but I think it was a little too ahead of its time in design and just never felt right, always felt laggy when boarding a Titan. Battlefield 4 borrowed much from 2142 and finally made it work so a return to 2142 would be nice.

yeah. I hope the next battlefield is vietnam or future. something with character. remember in bf vietnam being able to lift tanks up with the helicopters and playing music in the jeeps. those were nice touches. vietnam jungle would look amazing on this engine.

i started playing with the shotguns and damn the m30 is fun. I fully upgraded it. and the m1897 with slugs.

Coming from a BF fanboy, they just need to stop. EA has completely trashed this franchise.

I own every BF, from 1942 to BFV.

Every release feels like they remove something that made BF fun to play.

Maps are tiny now,
No weapons,
Character movement is horrible,
Going prone, I have honestly no clue wtf they did, but every time I prone, my character inches forward on its own.

It's just time to hang up the boots. I've been playing bf4 lately and it's just amazing how much more fun, and exciting it is to play still.

BFV on the other hand is just stale for me. So bored of the maps already, don't care for trying to unlock a skin, or wasting time doing the challenges for ANOTHER assault class weapon.

Downloaded the latest patch from a few days ago....now I'm noticing the sound is broke and isn't playing anything when I'm getting hit. I'm just "silently" getting killed and have no idea I'm getting hit and from where.

Influx of cheaters this weekend. Encountered 1 atleast every few games, I guess their cheat programs got updated to the latest patch version.

I had fun with bf4. Lots of people are coming back to it lately.

No admins or anticheat will certainly keep me away from bfv.

Gave it another try a few days back. Only one (1!) TDM/DOM server in north America, at least according to the server browser. In BF4 I can still find two in Hardcore; I assume there are more in regular mode.

The game is okay, needed a lot of work and changes. I amazingly put 77 hours into BF1 but I think BFV is a good bit better than that. But I doubt I'll take this one up to 77 hours at this rate. The unlocks and whatnot are just too grindy and force you to play classes and do things you don't want to do. Each time I load up the game it feels like I have to do some boring busy work which hurts the experience.

I still play BF4 and never see any cheating, maybe the cheaters moved on to BFV?

On a side note, I checked my Battlelog and I have over 574 hours in BF4...

I love BF4 Rush mode. You'll find me mostly on TBG's server below.

I was having some fun the last couple days, but just got out of a game where an assault player would bang out 3 or 4 head shots in 2-3 seconds every once in a while, and a MMG was showing some amazing long distance accuracy while standing up and moving.

Has anyone else had this problem

Every time you start the game it is like it resets your profile and tells you and has the glowing circle under everything, telling you there are new customizations, when in fact there are not!

I have tried turning on and off the cloud save
run as admin some people suggested

neither help....

Any thoughts?

And today i start the game and now it is showing me the intro video again!

have you tried this? https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Battlefield-V-Intro-plays-at-every-launch/td-p/7171668

read the second post.

People defending this game on Reddit are just pissing me off. EA is not supporting this game. Bf4 was shit at launch but at least the fixes actually amounted to something. This game seems to have been best at launch them gone backwards.

I think the foot step audio got buggy with the last patch. theres suppose to be another patch later this month. some good things have happened since release though, like medics actually having some guns that work at mid range. if they had a 1942 map pack, and polished up the game some, it would be one of my favorite bf games ever. right now its kinda in the middle. needs more maps though. like a new map every month.

Yeah they really improved it 2 patches ago and I actually knew what was happening around me...the last patch seems to revert that....

Any recommendations on replacement game for BF V? This game is a mess and I hope EA kills of Dice soon.

It feels like teamwork is almost non existent in BF V. Then there is assault which can carry enough explosives for 1 person to take out a tiger tank. I am still seeing low rank players with abnormally high k/d ratio.

All in all it feels like EA/Dice just phoned this one in and the good aspects are out weighed by the bad.

Post scriptum is good. Requires teamwork, patience and a mic. Not for cod insta action types though. Really good community.

this game is done. every and i mean every match i play now there are at least 2-3 flagrant cheaters. level 6 going 45-2 in tdm when you spectate them they dont even hide it now. so bad.

Found some good servers in bf4. Probably going to reload bf3 again. Fewer servers there but still such a good game. Too bad this looks like the end of the road. Whoever is captain of this ship has landed the fucker in kansas somehow.

BF3 had the best maps IMHO but BF4 is where its at for best gameplay. I don't see any cheating but some players still complain about the modern warfare gameplay in BF4 though, namely with the high powered weapons that can lock-on, UCAVs and mortars. Those players should move onto BF1 or BFV :)

Looks like the latest patch broke SLI... again. Dunno how to explain it but SLI has worked for me without issue since the BETA.. and I've never had to use the NV inspector software or do anything special at all.. it just works even after yesterdays patch. Been getting some flack from a guy on the EA forums who is callin bullshit I have SLI running minus his posted fix. I tried to use the NV shadowplay to make a video.. it refuses to start on my setup. What other software can I use to capture gameplay video?

I have seen complaints on reddit about sli being broken. lol

This game is such a great example of how corporate dipshits can ruin a game. Force it out before its done. Yeah. Great. Loving those same few maps. Instead of providing maps and content........they put out that combined arms crap. Oh and the ever important BR mode............... ............. .......... Not salty at alllllll. Not missing the old days one bit. Yup.

I don't think the market is "viable" for this kind of game anymore. When you can do something like Apex Legends or Fortnite and make millions more I think an adult themed war shooter just isn't going to be made by AAA studios going forward. BFV clearly moved into the cartoon direction but it isn't that bad yet. I assume future updates and any sequels will look and feel more like PUGB than a war game.

Smaller studios may be able to put something out but I doubt it. Certainly not with high polish or the player base of something like BF3/4.

You can't compare Apex Legends to Battlefield because the former is free. I'm very certain if BFV was free it would be equally succuessful.

Nah, it would still flop. They have ruined the Battlefield name. This is literally Battle of duty. The maps are tiny, the weapons are limited, the movement is trash. Ive never burnt out on a BF this fast before.

And that is counting BF hardline!

It isn't exactly free. Free to play games pull in more money than many traditional games. Fortnite is an excellent example. Follow the money - those kind of games and business models are sadly the way forward. A traditional game with a set gameplay style, theme and art style just isn't going to pull in the same kind of cash that something like Fortnite/Apex Legends will. I think the days of something like BF are numbered. If you can't monetize every aspect of it it has no future. A military themed game just doesn't offer the microtransaction flexibility of those other titles.
