I'm really happy with the gun models and the position on screen. I always thought CoD had this over the BF series until now. BF models always had this sort of awkward/fake feeling to me.

Just another CoD arcade shit clone. Lame as hell, cancelling pre-order.
Sorry, but putting some faggoty shit like indicator arrows over enemies kills the game.
Oh - there's nothing different than the alpha.

Sound is hugely improved from bc2.
Graphics are slightly improved.
Crossfire is broken. The first time you join a match it works great and you get killer FPS. Ultra settings, 4xAA, 1920x1200 runs awesome. But there is a glitch where the game restarts in windowed mode between each new match, and once it switches to windowed mode crossfire is disabled and performance goes to shit.
I'm able to just put it back to fullscreen and have my SLI work fine... you can't just alt+enter to fullscreen it and have CF working again?
Very underwhelmed by the graphics (which I'm hoping they fix before beta ends, since it's completely bugged up). Gameplay I haven't gotten much of yet since it keeps disconnecting me and they disabled server queueing...
They also ruined knifing. Alpha required you to actually pull out the knife and attack. They've added the quick knife shit from BC2.
My review of BF3 beta so far:
Good:
Animations are sweet
Movement feels very fluid
Sounds are awesome
Battlelog is cool - when working
Ranks, scoring, ect menu's are integrated nicely
Gameplay feels in-between BF2 and BFBC2
Recoil separates the men from the boys
Flash's from snipers scopes allows to easily detect the stupid irritating lame-ass campers
Bad:
You have to run 3 things to run BF3 - battlelog, the battlelog applet, and origin - holy clusterfuck FAIL
Destruction 2.0 is worse than Destruction in BFBC2
The game graphically looks on par with BFBC2 - it doesn't look improved
You cannot run BF3 in 'offline' mode at all - even to change settings you must be in-game

When I do that crossfire doesn't reactivate.
Honestly I'm so annoyed with ATI's drivers I may move to a 580 GTX SLI setup.
In 2560x1600 the picture extends off your screen - the minimap is 90% off screen, your ammo is almost all offscreen.

yes, that's quite annoying. Anyone know how to fix it?
EDIT: Ok, the sniper scope flash is f'ing ridiculous. It's like a massive beacon, not a slight lens flare. Even in an underground subway, that thing must be gathering every light particle in the whole system and casting it back at you.
Haven't had that same issue with my crossfire setup. Played a good 2 hours straight before server crashed or something - not exactly sure what happened.
Are you getting massive screen tearing in the outdoor portion of the map?
Starting to think there is something wrong with my setup.
I had a brief 30-second period where I had an orange flickering - almost like the AFR 2nd frame was all orange. But that cleared up, strangely it occurred at the same time someone else said in chat, "Damn, getting the flickering again."
Overall though it's been pretty solid. Running everything ultra @ 2560x1600, turned off AA though.
lol whats the trick to getting into a server?
Have you tried low yet? It looks identical to your "ultra". If not though I'd love to see comparison screenshots because for me they are 100% identical.
Did you reload the game and go back in, as well? I haven't either, just wondering if it requires a full game restart for graphical settings. Just installed FRAPS, hang on a sec.

Why do people guess and not just download FRAPS!I was in one earlier by clicking quick join on the browser. It got me in within seconds. Im sure the servers are filling up rapidly though.
Side note:
Has anyone seen this yet? My game runs pretty damn good except for the fact that when I pivot(turn left/right or look up/down) it is very jittery. It is not jittery in a graphical sense more like a control sense. Im guessing I am getting about 40FPS at max settings.
This also happens at the lowest settings. Im guessing driver issues. I am running...
Asus P8Z68-LX with an i5 2500k overclocked to 4.2GHz(very stable), a BFG 275GTX and 4GB of RAM.
What is your resolution at? Also is this High/Ultra high settings? Looks like Low/medium.

The jittery is a feature, not a bug. You're carrying a considerable amount of weight in equipment, don't expect to move around fluidly. As you progress in your BF3 career though, you'll find that your soldier will get stronger and your turning movements become smoother as you gain strength from carrying all the weight around.
