Honestly between this, Skyrim and Diablo 3, I'm seriously concerned about staying employed in spring of '12... ;)

I'm telling you, these boys know how to make their trailers and vids. Awesome!

The pre-order peeps get this warfare pack automatically, correct?

Preorders using EA Origin or Gamestop/Impulse (both digital and retail) get the physical warfare on day 1. Everyone else gets it later on.

The only actual exclusive preorder bonus is the "Back to Karkand" DLC, which you will need to pay for if you didn't preorder. This bonus is offered everywhere.

Cheapest price "bonus" though at the moment though is at D2D for $45.86 (that I know off anyways), use one of these coupon codes for 15% off-

A little devious, but I have a birthday code for 25% from EA, it gets me the game for $44.99. Take it a step further, I wonder if these birthday codes stack ;)

Now that we are roughly 2 months away from the launch date, have system requirements been posted? Wondering what kind of frame rates the beta testers were getting with their rigs.

Seriously, the alpha ran good for me with the specs in my sig. I dont know what kind of FPS I was getting, but it felt ok to me. It seemed like it was running better than BC2? what do you guys think? Will a 5870 be adequate?

One thing to keep in mind with BF3 is that it is part of a new wave of games that supports shader based AA, such as FXAA. FXAA generally speaking will give comparable quality to 4xMSAA, with less of a performance hit than even 2xMSAA. This basically frees up a lot of performance by comparison since I assume a typical BC2 setting on these forums is probably utilizing 2x or 4x MSAA.

General consensus from the alpha testers is that the game scales really well. The devs have also said the system they ran the game on at the E3 expo had a single 580 driving the game.

Adequate for what? I think anything up to 1920x1200 it will more or less be able to max the game out (with the exception of maxing out AA) while still providing good FPS. Once you get up to 2560x1600 or Eyefinity resolutions, you'll have to make some IQ sacrifices.

Nice one... For those who aren't sure what i'm referring to, IQ = Image Quality

It does, but I figured there will be some people who won't know what I ment by IQ

The game scales very well, I cant tell you exactly what it would take to absolutely max it out but I know for any one that has a half decent rig this will be pretty and playable.

The Alpha ran fine, but if i remember correctly, it didn't exactly have many settings to tweak or change. Did it even have AA?

Damn, I'm getting antsy for the beta. It has been rumored for September for a while now, and its now September 4th. Any updates? :(

Atleast I bumped this thread up from the 2nd page. It doesn't deserve 2nd page status. :p

A few of the people on the EA UK boards think it will be this Tuesday for MoH/Origin preorders, and Thursday for everyone else. There hasn't been a peep from Dice on it, and it's all pure speculation though. I have heard people mention that Battlelog has been popping up and down lately, so heck we might actually get it this week.

That would not give beta access though right. Any idea if we can fire up the code on origins

The only known way currently to get Early Beta access at the moment is either though EA Origin preorders or with MoH LE. All other ways are pure speculation at the moment. But the Beta is supposed to be "Open?" so I'm not sure how much earlier you will get it and of how much value it is to you.

All codes (regardless of where you purchase) will activate on Origin (and will require it) on launch though.

I have BF3 preordered through D2D (through an earlier promotion with 20% off), and they have not issued keys yet.

One thing to keep in mind with EA Origin, depending on your location you may need to factor in sales tax as well (for me Origin games cost 12% more), since they are required to collect it in more jurisdictions (likely due to their physical distribution business).

I'm starting to get a bit worried, I have yet to even receive my confirmation e-mail stating that I will be receiving early access to the Beta due to my purchase of MoH:LE, and it would seem quite a few others have already received theirs.

Since when? I havent heard of anyone getting their beta code anywhere.

Re-read his post. He said he hasn't gotten his e-mail confirming he has early access to the beta. He did NOT say he was worried that he had not received the beta code yet.

Several people have confirmed receiving an email stating they are signed up for the early access beta, but that email did not include the beta code.

Probably working on getting the game to gold more than anything.
Releasing the Beta just signals development has ended. Beta tweaks would most likely be released via a day 1 patch.

I am wondering if beta access is worth the 15$ premium ....So you are saying the origin preorders grab beta access 2 days ahead of the general public? If it's confirmed to have an open access,I would jump on the d2d offer

It's not even a matter of beta access being worth a $15 premium. The question is 2 day early access worth that $15? Everyone will be able to play the beta regardless, but the MoH LE people, and Origin preorders get it a WHOPPING 2 days early.

lol I'm glad I'm getting two days early, I'm ready for this shit. :p
