Bambu Labs 3D Printer Sale

I'm seriously tempted to add another 3D printer—thinking about the P1S—to go along with my MK4S, Mini Prusa+ with enclosure, and an old Ender 3 Pro that's still running strong. Or wait for Black Friday and see what kind of offers Creality has with the K1C, or maybe I'll dive into building a Tiny Voron 0.2 or Sovol 08 if its dirt cheap, so many options

I ordered the P1S combo. I was going back and forth debating the A1, but I already have a bed slinger that works reasonably well, I don't see spending the money on another one. Plus I want to try ABS/ASA.
Sold my p1s and gave an A1 a try. Haven’t had a bedslinger in a few years.

I've been looking at the Sovol as well as the Troodon 2.0 Pro, which seems to be a bit more expensive and a bit more high-end compared to the Sovol.

I own two A1 AMS combos and couldn't be happier. I've been printing since 2014 and love these things.

Yes, the Troodon 2.0 looks impressive! The Sovol also seems like a solid option, especially for the price and if you're open to tinker it to enhance it. I'm also considering the Micron+, which has really caught my interest so far, particularly because of its compact footprint.

The smaller printers are appealing, especially when paired with a 300-350mm printer. I want to get a 350mm eventually, but then I don't really need something Ender 3 sized and could downsize that one to something like the Micron+.

I picked up the A1 combo. 5 spools of PLA, 4 hotends, a textured plate, and it all came to $600. Seems like a great deal and can't wait to start making gaming stuff for myself and others. Some car parts too.

Why 4 hotends? I have a spare for the P1S, never thought about buying more than that.

I've gotta say that I bought the A1 Mini Combo for my son's 19th birthday a month ago and it's been a big hit with the family. It's really easy to set up and use.

So far the P1S is excellent. I've had it printing pretty much continuously since I got it set up, with zero problems. It's nice to just hit "print" and know that it's going to work.

That's how I feel about my a1 mini. If I knew it could be this easy from the start I would've never bought an ender.

Honestly, I learned a lot from my Ender 3 S1 and it prints pretty well, considering. I've modded it a lot , but now I can do some major maintenance on it while still being able to print on the Bambu.

Not to mention the Bambu didn't exist back when I bought the Ender.

I thought I was gonna dump my ender but I ended up ordering a new hot end and 1.0mm nozzle to do larger prints fast with low detail. The speed of the bambu spoiled me.

Yeah I need to swap the nozzle on mine, maybe I'll do that...

I appreciate this thread. Been eyeing a 3d printer for a decade and they just havent been ready for "me" yet(im lazy af when it comes to the tinkering part). Think I'm going to snag an A1 mini w/ams lite and test the waters.

If you can spring for it, the A1 is a better buy.
Just how much i want to spend to decide if I will actually use it. Then go from there. /me looks at dji 2 mini on shelf covered in dust.

Out of those three:
  • the A1 uses the same plates as the P1S and the X1C
  • The P1S is worthwhile if you plan to print with "engineering" or high temperature things (eg ABS or above), but PETG and PLA/PLA+ are fine for the majority of things
IMO the A1 is great if you have the space, the P1S is marginally faster and a smaller package, the A1 mini is not a great buy as it has limited parts.
Thank you!
I remember reading that the enclosed nature of the P1S is also beneficial potentially for longer prints and/or not super clean environments. I think I would probably have the printer setup in the garage so that feels like a nod toward the p1s?

I just ordered the A1 after a misadventure with the Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro. It was a decent printer but it lacked profiles for 0.2mm nozzels and I had nothing but issues with trying to fine tune it. We can blame plenty of that on my noob status, but I wasn't thrilled with the fine tuning options. You had 3 speed options, and none of them told you how fast the head was moving. I expected better for 11 months of updates and the firmware had barely progressed past the stage it was 8 months ago.

Keljian The Gentle Swim sounds good to me after my last experience

Keljian ended up getting an A1 Combo. Thank you for your help!

Have you had the A1 a little bit, or just ordered it? If so, I'd be interested in hearing your feedback on it. I currently have an X1C and the Creality K1 Max, but if I'm being honest I like the print quality of the X1C better between the two. I am considering an A1 Combo as a second BL printer just for the extra smaller parts that I want to print, but wanted to hear personal feedback (pros & cons) from people with an A1.

I've only had it for a week and have no idea what I'm doing :)
That being said, I'm fairly impressed with it and if you have the room for a bedslinger I would definitely recommend it. And if it's truly for "small parts" why not a mini which is on end of the year sale?
But get it now before potential trump tariffs mess with the prices

I am loving the P1S, glad I went with it over the A1. Almost tempted to get a second AMS, maybe next big sale.

I am going to pick up the P1S with the AMS from Microcenter after work. I started by building the Tevo Tarantula kit and modded the hell out of it with linear rails and a new hot end and it never worked right. Then I moved to a couple of other printers than never worked right... Got rid of all of that for a CR-10 that I modded to have double Z motors, bl touch and a smoothie board and new hot end. It works, but is a pain in the ass to get a good 1st layer. I probably have more in the CR-10 than the cost of the P1S combo. Looking forward to the upgrade.

Anyone with a Kobra 3 and Ace Pro? I have both the bambu A1 and an Kobra 3 with Ace Pro (got it for 269 bucks). I am totally blown away by how easy it was for me to setup the Anycubic Kobra 3 and the color system (and it supports up to 8 with 2 color systems and I'm mulling it over). The Kobra 3 is fast, accurate and very decent for the money. I'm punching out a 5" Ewok model for my cousin's kiddo and it's color switching like a champ. Lots of youtubers were slamming it and I am not seeing the issues they bitched about. the Anycubic Next slicer is almost identical to the Bambu Slicer. I had the printer up and running in minutes as a result and was already printing in color. it was so easy after having been exposed to the A1 for a while now.

If anyone is interested they are selling these on Ebay with 1 year warranties 90% rebuilt. I was gonna bid 254 on my next one and see if I get it. it's cheaper to get the printer and the Ace Pro than it is to just buy the Ace Pro alone...

I don't have endless money and this is the cheapest way to get into color I have seen yet.

they just released their large format printer with Ace pro for 600 founder's price. 420 x 420 x 500?

I beat the shit out of my A1 constantly and learned a lot. Had to tear down the print head at one point after I had a clog and a massive filament overflow. It's slick and simple but a good way to ease you into printing. Still, really impressed with the Kobra 3. Massive bang for the buck. Kinda wish I had bought it instead of the A1, last month.

Yeah I bought a Kobra 3 back in October. It was a monster to get right.
The center of the bed was raised so first layers were non existent. Solved that by removing 2 rubber nubs under the hot plate.
There was a bug in firmware that made Z adjustment totally botched.
Then the stock nozzle/heat tube were junk. So ordered a ceramic Bambu knock off.
After that tho, it has basically been running non stop.

My next purchase is definitely going to be a BL, I really want the X1C, but i think i may just snatch up a A1.

man ready to go out of box plus AMS, even if i put my Anet a8 together after all these years, it has no AMS just a slightly bigger print bed. should have never bough it but, i ain't shelling $800 either, seems like buy the mini with AMS and use the excitement form that to motivate and finish the A8. also quicker builds having two printers.

anyone know whay a family memebers creality snaps of prints half way up? sounds gaked or fubard to me if it's not meant to be adjusted

EDIT: bet it would be smart to buy extra parts now on sale.

EDIT: i see $179 on thier main page but, no discount code

EDIT: shipping takes another bite out too. so it's not $179 and you pay shipping, so really the mini with ams is $400

ok i googled for coupon code and found this on a spammy/ad web site 3DPA1MNY, they still got theire and i'm sucker since i still dished out $20 for shipping but, with $11 in spare parts and $35 in taxes plus the damn shipping it was still under $400 at $396 with ams. so i guess we will see what i get.

As mentioned above, get the a1, not the mini, unless you are really strapped
your reply didn't show up? all i see is comment about build plates, idk why that would matter, you know the mini is knee capped at 180mm by 180mm, my A8 is like 225mm or 256mm or something. i just don't see another $300 for another 1.75" inch of build area when my A8 was under $300 in like 2017, maybe over $300 is you could the upgraded VRMs, quite bearings and me paying to print the upgrades out before assembly.

EDIT: okay looking it's 167.85 more and no working coupon code. i also only have 2 hours to cancel the order. so for 167.85 i get i get 70ish mm more print volume closer to my anet a8

Damn it, now i'm on the fence

wow the diqi q1 pro is almost the same price as the A1

No regrets getting an A1 Mini here, but I do have another printer for larger stuff. 9 times out of 10 I'm sending prints to the A1 Mini though. Gone through 1.5 spools of PETG in the past 24 hours.

I didn't have any of the issues you faced with it at all. Granted my Print head Rail was lopsided but I was able to get it leveled. The benchie turned out fine. My second print was a 5" tall, 4 color Ewok Shaman, with a 3 day print job, I gave to my cousin's kid. Turned out flawless. No issues yet. I did pickup a ceramic nozzle knock off as well just in case but am using the stock one for the time being. I suppose they worked out their firmware issues. I ordered another to get the second AMS.

Got the first one for 259 (90% refurb) and the second one for 269 (Open Box, unused) off of Ebay. The Ace Pro alone is 289 bucks, so I will just sell one of the Kobra 3's for 120 bucks or so and give someone a deal and still make out like a bandit. 8 Color printing will add about 2 days with color swaps for larger items but it's totally worth it for a lot of smaller items I can hammer out (like coasters and pictures / wall signs.

I have had a lot of luck with Ebay, worth a look if you're buying and bidding with Anycubic.

Aside from that the Bambu Labs A1 is a workhorse. It's, easily, capable of much faster prints with quality. I have no experience with the AMS for it, however, it's pretty beastly for everything I have printed off of it. Had a lot of issues printing my 1982 Blade runner pistol due to small parts and durability but I was able to get it and a Bryar (Star Wars) pistol printed off with a little trial and error. I have been hammering the printer for over month with minis and terrain. It's good, but it bitches constantly about maintenance and I have had at least two nozzle clogs hose the machine with the standard Bambu hot ends. One of them nearly destroyed the entire print head as it filled up with goo. I had to spend a couple hours super heating the area and scraping out the filament.

Surprisingly, I have had excellent success with an aftermarket 10 buck hot end with interchangeable nozzles that I have used for 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 (.8 is amazing for fast terrain printing). YMMV. Most of the 3rd party nozzle issues ae due to people not tightening the nozzle enough. Heat it up, twist it a little more and no leaks. Pretty simple. I do like my 0.2 mm hot end from Bambu, the nozzle swaps are amazingly easy compared to everyone else.

I will update after I get the second Ace Pro setup and get a 8 color print rolling.

A1 mini so far so good but, having some issues with print after good prints, need adjust spool temps, want to tr the bambu filament that comes with the chipped spools for auto setting but, everything is sold out. might use the a1 mini to print anet a8 parts to get it going.

I decided to splurg and got an X1C which has been great - I might get an A1 just to have a work horse because it can do so many things. Very impressed with the application suite, this thing really is a turn key device. I'll look at what's on the Bambu Handy app and ask, "what do I want to wake up to tomorrow" and then it's like the filament fairy just left me a present.

apparently they were not happy about 3rd party firmware for thier first printer and announced their intent on a fully controlled closed system, i got my box from out side and file a ticket for a the 14 days from delivery, i'm going to seriously try to send this turd back

https://hackaday.com/2025/01/17/new...-adds-mandatory-authorization-control-system/

i was surprised when it had no USB port, also on windows bambu studio is blanked out in most menus without EDGE installed. i used PopOs instead and it works but, it also crashes at times mostly when interacting with the web engine portion of the software. you also can NOT do TPU with AMS, it has to be bambu labs TPU. other than that it just works but, F this, this cloud garbage is going back. they have locked out 3rd party slicers with the latest non optional forced update they sent out.
