this is finally going to lead to thinner bezel monitors and better mounting systems.

Already in the works with AMD's new partnership with Samsung. Read the article.![]()
Any info on these new Samusng monitors ? Size ? Price ? Availability ?
did anyone ask about bezel offsets and eyefinity (like softth?) today at the showing?
Thank for the update Kyle I appreciateFor three brand new generation 24" 1920x1200 monitors with stand for $1,000 that would be a killer deal. But why so far away ? Christmas is close to 4 months away still.
And I was expecting these 5870's to hit newegg like end of September or so, but now the word I am hearing is closer to Halloween?
no way a monitor setup like that would be 1k.
something niche like this will ass rapingly bloated in price

I know I already posted it in another thread, but in case no one here saw it I recorded most of a race in DIRT 2 using Eyefinity on the USS Hornet party yesterday:

That just looks like 3 projectors which is completely doable with the current TH2G. Still awesome but nothing new.

This is beyond TH2G. With TH2G (including their displayport edition), you cannot use 3 1080P and above screens/projectors, you need special software and hardware, profiles etc. There's a limitation in screens and even refreshrates (57hz) which not all screens can operate comfortably on.
ATI Eyefinity looks like a large step ahead in multimonitor gaming setups. I've seen nothing like it in all my years as senior mod for the largest site for widescreen gaming solutions in the world.

Like I said, 3 screens is nothing new.

Thank god I did not buy a TH2G device this yearMy biggest hold back on that box was the small res it was limited too, only 3 - 22" monitors at max.
About time someone like AMD made this Eyefinity, seems like it should have come out from ATI and nVidia before as a standard option in drivers ? Single screen gaming is now a thing of the past. You can buy 3 LCD's for pretty cheap now a days, as long as not three 30"
Like I said, 3 screens at greater than 1680x1050 resolutions is nothing new.... oh wait![]()
Hopefully we'll see removable bazels soon. This tech is going to be awesome. 3 screens would be good for me.
Exactly, plus the $299 price of admission to game on 3 screens from Matrox. And SoftTH I have read nothing but driver issues and hassles.
So for official support for the VideoCard to work perfectly on multiple screens in 3d gaming and standard Desktop usage, this is ground breaking
Like I said, 3 screens is nothing new.
Wow, do you know how ignorant you sound? It's not just 3 screens, it's up to 6x30" screens. I'll do the math for you - 7680x3200 resolution!! If you said you've seen that already, I know you're lying, because this is a hardware first.
AND it's scalable. IF your motherboard can handle 4 graphics cards, you can have 24 displays!

As a practical person, I can't say I'm impressed with the technology. I game on a single display.
