Got a question for the guys at ASUS? Ask any of those here!

These questions should be constructed using proper grammar, spelling, and most of all, etiquette.

So please think before you submit your question, and please take this opportunity seriously.

Are you planning an ICS phone( not padphone tablet )? How about with a HD display ( 1280x720 ) ?

Why doesn't Asus include their Xonar hardware in their ROG motherboards? Seems like it would be cheaper from a licensing standpoint rather then going with Creative software.

How does, and how often does, Asus evaluate their RMA departments? I ask because there seems to be a lot of complaints, on this board alone, about your motherboard RMA's being done in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Specifically bad/used/damaged boards being sent back as replacements.

I just went from a Creative x-Fi to your Essence ST sound card. I've been reading up on the Essence One. I got to say, the ST is a fantastic card!

What are your goals and/or where do you guys see yourselves headed with the high end audio market?

I'm from Malaysia. Why does Asus Malaysia always don't bring the high end laptop models here? I can't see any 14" or 15" laptop will full hd and any 14" with i7 here. The facebook page for Asus Malaysia was full with these requests before, but it seems they fall on deaf ears :(

Will any ASUS tablets feature the AMD A Series APU soon?
Thanks.

I have noticed that your top tier "gamer" product line is labeled as "ROG", or "Republic of Gamers". At it's core, what exactly is your ROG line of products? Is it focused on any true hardware improvements over other models, or is it mostly flashy plastic and a neat color scheme?

Footnote: I have a Maximus IV GENE-Z, and did not notice the ROG stuff until after I setup my new system. :) I realize there's a page here, but I honestly can't tell if it's just marketing fluff or if there are some core hardware changes over the non-ROG line(s).

Are there any plans to expand UEFI bios updates and >2TB drive support to older socket 1366 and 1156 motherboards?

I'm going to guess no on this one. But it will be interesting to hear from ASUS on the matter. I'd love a UEFI implementation on my Rampage III Black Edition. That would kick ass.

Selfish questions.......

When will the Rampage IV Formula board hit the US e-tail stores????

Second......can you please give me some detailed information on the X-Socket?
I am interested to know if you remove the S2011 backplate and replace it with the S1366 backplate, does that then expose the mounting holes in the PCB for use as in the older S1366 boards;
have you tested this for compatibility with any standard watercooling models, such as the Heatkiller or swiftech blocks with their own overlay backplates?

thanks.:D

I'm curious about this as well. It would be nice to have UEFI on the Rampage III series.

Why do you (ASUS) insist on saying your name comes from Pegasus, yet you say it's pronounced like ay-zoos. It sounds like the Spanish Jesus. I've always pronounced it ay-sis. I am very serious about this. It really bothers me when I hear people say ay-zoos. It's not very inline with how Pegasus is pronounced. I pronounced it how I do long before I ever heard of your name coming from Pegasus. I only learned about Pegasus when I researched into how to pronounce your name after I heard the recent pronunciations of ay-zoos. It will not stop me from buying your products, but I WILL ridicule those people who make videos of unboxings and reviews saying your name in a way that I hate.

ASUS motherboards have tended to focus on the enthusiast, giving special features and customization options.

Probably one of the biggest things an enthusiast customizes is their cooling solution.

Many of the new X79 boards have active chipset cooling (which I like) but they depend on tiny (and probably noisy) fans.

Has ASUS considered, or would they consider, a board with chipset ducting so that users could upgrade and use "standard" size fans like 80mm or 120mm for better and quieter performance?

Are there any future plans for an ASUS branded MITX boards with a socket 1155/2011 and overclocking ability? There is a whole market full of small cases but all the boards that fit disallow overclocking entirely due to being H61/H67 chipsets, or the few examples of z68 mITX boards are lackluster and have a whole range of problems.

Are there any motherboards now on LGA 1155 that will work properly with the incoming Ivy Bridge processors?

Thank you!

Why has my 5970 been out for RMA for 2+ months? Why does asus keep trying to replace it with slower cards?

Following up on this question, I would like to know if there are any plans on a ROG line of Mini-ITX boards?

I'm going to echo magoo in asking when will the Rampage IV Formula be available at Newegg? The product page for it has been up on the ASUS site for over a week with a recent BIOS update posted by Raja but noone seems to know a date on when stock will arrive in the US.

I fourth this. For such an expensive piece of tech, it would be really nice to see UEFI on the Rampage III series.

FYI guys, >2TB drive support is official on Rampage III Extreme as of BIOS 1502.

My question:
Will older boards with ICH10R be receiving BIOS updates that include the new RAID 0 TRIM enabled Intel OROM?

Is there a plan to introduce a replacement for the Xonar D2? After it has been discontinued, the only options in its class are a 2 channel headphone amp (Essence) or a +$100 card + headphone combo (Xense). I'm in the market for another one, and the other brands just haven't lived up to the D2/D2X's quality.

Thanks for answering our questions!

Certainly AsusTek performs PCB design and integration. In what areas is Asus looking to expand the value of the base components they acquire thru patents or proprietary technology? For instance, when Asus sources touchpads/trackpads is any hardware technology licensed from Asus, or perhaps Asus develops their own copyrighted software drivers to interface with said hardware.

I dont think its possible without replacing the BIOS chips is it? The new UEFI chips are like 32MB.

I have both an older P6T (running my server, with the issue of >2TB drives) and a Rampage III Formula. I would love to see UEFI support on both.

Most of ASUS' BIOS ROMs on their X58 boards are 32MB or larger and have been for some time. I am uncertain about that with the P6T, but I know all the X58's I personally reviewed had BIOS ROMs that large.

Dear Asus,

As a long time Asus Motherboard buyer, I am curious as to why every time I go to get new drivers from your website for a specific model, that it is never up to date with other current driver versions found on other websites.

Are there any plans in the future, to try to keep drivers up to date on your website?

Thanks,
7 year Asus motherboard buyer.

Will we see a ROG Black Edition Z77 1155 board for Ivy Bridge?
We have been receiving many red and black schemes, but it would be refreshing to get an all black board from ASUS.

The current Maximus IV Extreme Z68 doesn't have PCIe 3.0 or an HDMI port. Asrock has included these features on all of their Z68 Gen3 boards.
Why Asus chooses not to include features on the enthusiast products which are native to the 1155 platform?

Why Asus doesn't manufacture Quad SLI/CF XL-ATX motherboards? MSI didn't make a good product in the Big Bang-Marshall P67 1155.
It would be nice to see Asus address the need for one.

The P6T has a 16Mb bios chip

I'm thinking if they make the interface simple enough, it could take it. However, that's probably hoping too much, eh?

edit: Oh, even the RIIIF only has a 16Mb bios. That's disappointing.

Just found out more information. The Dell R710 server only has a 8Mb BIOS chip, but has full UEFI and >2TB drive support, if UEFI boot is enabled. The Dell UEFI just doesn't have the fancy graphics interface and mouse support that the current Z68 and P67 boards have. Also, my laptop, a Dell Latitude E4300, Core2Duo 9400, has a 16Mb UEFI with full graphical interface. It can be done, if they do the work. It's just a question of how much support are they going to put forward for older products.

Very interesting, I have and still use the P6T deluxe. How exactly can you tell what size the ROMs are?

I guess i never accually wanted to look at how big it was...

Other than Transformer Prime are there any other Tegra based products on the way?

I am a big ASUS fan, historically great products!

I would echo 2 of the above

X58 UEFI support?

Truly troubling mass of unhappy RMA experiences is tarnishing a great brand, is that really worth it?

UEFI Support for the M3A79-T Deluxe Mobo (AMD 790FX Chipset)?

When will Asus come out with 1090FX chipset mobos and what will their model numbers be?

Will there be an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Transformer (TF101)?

What happened to the 42-inch Eee-TV?

Why are “equivalent” Asus AMD mobos historically not as nice as their Intel counterparts?

Will you consider launching an Asus Padfone with a slider keyboard, just like the Asus eepad slider tablet?

PLEASE? :D

Dear ASUS,

Do you have any plans to enter the enthusiast dual-CPU (2P) socket motherboard market? I would love to see a dual-CPU LGA 2011 motherboard with overclocking capabilities from ASUS.

Sincerely,

NobleX13

What is in store for 2012 in terms of displays/monitors, anything better then 27inch /1080p ?

There are lots of monitors out there today that are better than 27" 1080P. In fact, a 1080P monitor in that size is anything but good.

Hi,

Are there any plans to release a dual socket enthusiast LGA 2011 motherboard along the lines of the eVGA SR-2/SR-X?
