anyone running stock? I had my comp o/c'd at various speeds mostly at 2.56GHZ (320x8). I also had it running @ 2.66GHZ (266x10) & 3.0GHZ (300x10) for a week, then I gave stock speed a shot and it was enough for me. To save more energy, I've also turned on speed step, 204x6 for 1224mhz. I'm not a gamer so it's fine. Anyone else running these CPUs at stock speed?
 
I always run at stock unless I have something to do.
I haven't played a game in months. Right now my Q6600 is at 6x400 with 1.100v bios (w/ vdroop enabled) and my 8800 GTX isn't even in my system, running an HD3850 at the moment.

The summers get hot down here in FL, no point pumping up the heat in my room with hardware I'm not using. When GTA IV PC comes out (or maybe Mass Effect) I'll push it back up again.

i just bought my new pc last weekend (E8400) so i havent started tweeking yet but my old comp is running at a nice 3.45GHz 24/7 (3.00ghz P4 northwood)
 
My Intel e4300 is at stock :) Well its because my motherboard can't overclock, but i am getting a evga 750i FTW this July and i will be overclocking it :) When i play games the cpu runs at 90- 100% :eek: :) but my amd x2 3800+ is on automatic overclock as i don't know how to overclock... :rolleyes: oh well sighs..
 
My htpc runs at stock. Not much reason to run my e2180 much past stock when all its doing is recording tv and playing DVD's. When i was only playing WoW i keep my q6600 at stock, but Age of Conan kinda needs the extra umph from the 50% OC.
 
My E2140 (HTPC) is stock.

My TL-50 (laptop) is stock.

My X3210 (main machine) is stock, as of a few days ago (haven't played games latey, no need for the extra heat in CA. I'm selling it, and replacing with an E2180, which will be OCed, though!

Where do I go to turn in my [H] Card? :(

The Q6700 in my BX38BT is stock, but only b/c I haven't turned on the machine yet - no RAM. :D Once RAM gets here, it'll be OCed.
 
At stock for now on my cpu. I have overclocked my video card but the cpu is running great and i don't need even more heat over the summer.
 
I haven't run stock since the days of the 80486 - 25Mhz CPU... even that could run at a nice 33Mhz.

Even my PDA is overclocked!
 
Just picked up two of the Celeron 430 + ECS mobo combos from Fry's over the weekend, both running stock here and cool as a cucumber, as the saying goes. Mobos don't support any overclocking options so at some point I might do the BSEL mod on mine, perhaps the Wife's as well. I'm running XP x64, she's running... well... let's just say if you think about a big cat with spots, you'll figure it out. ;)
 
running stock since I started running dual core p4's. amd 64's where the last thing I did anything with and nothing major since amd xp days. I got tired of the noise or flushing coolant every 6 months. My e6550 does fine for me stock.
 
I have two P3s running stock but that's only because there are no overclock options on the motherboards. Otherwise, the AthlonXPs are overclocked, the Athlon X2 is overclocked and the three Q6600s are overclocked. Stock speeds suck.

Hell, with the overclocks to 3.6Ghz on two of my Q6600s, it's like having an extra Q6600. The third Q6600 is only running 3.51Ghz but that's almost another half Q6600 for free.

Been runnin stock since I installed, not really played a game yet requiring anything mroe, and im still on a 7900GTO.
