For the most part it looks like I'm always getting the 39-139 point units. Just wondering if thats just the way it is or if im missing something with the setup. Each box is using at least 256MB ram and is set with the bigpackets=yes in the config.

Am I just in a run of lowbies?

Don't think I have had that problem on my one boxen running foldex, but ive never really paid attention...

I think it depends on the box specs. I'm pretty sure that mage built it so the client would set the appropriate flags based on CPU and RAM numbers, so it could well not have -advmethods or big WU set.

atm I have 4 running it with 2 more coming online within a week or so. With the 4 I have a lot of the 33, 39, 44 and 48 point ones with the 120-130ish ones few and far between. The lowbies is mostly what I get.

Box1 P3 1gig 256MB
Box2 P3 1gig 256MB
Box3 Barton 2500 at 2.2 with 512MB
Box4 PC Chips combo at 2.55Ghz with 256MB.

Most people around here have been cursed lately with the low-point, low-ppd WUs, including me. OCAU's dealing with it, too. Stanford just seems to be dishing out the low-point WUs in generous quantities lately, and severely limiting (or eliminating) higher-point WUs like the 600-pointers and QMDs.

Most of the WU's I've gotten for the last month have been the 130-170ish pointers, my ppd has taken about a 20% hit. A lot of the new WU's are fairly low point, but seem to take more time each.

Funny that I post this today as one of my P3 boxs just got a 572 point one and my main PC grabed a 414 point one about 45 mins ago.

My PIII 600 Foldix box has been chewing on a 153 point Amber the past couple of days. I think it had another one before this one.

Pande just announced that he pulled all the QMD's for analysis. There are no QMD out there to be used as of now.

He has yet to announce when the new wave of QMD's will return.

I have had units larger than 150 points on my foldix box. 241 tinkers for sure. Just a lot of low pointers out right now. No worries though! ;)

what the above posters said. Last year I was getting 600 pointers by the barrelful on my Foldix 1700+ now its the itty bitty 30-50 pointers.

The gods have heard my cries and blessed me with he following.

Box1 Foldix P3 1gig 256MB 572 point
Box2 Foldix P3 1gig 256MB 149 point
Box3 Foldix Barton 2500 at 2.2Ghz with 512MB 722 point
Box4 Foldix PC Chips combo at 2.55Ghz with 256MB. 120 point
Box5 Bot box XP1700 stock 1024MB 604 point
Box6 Main A64 3000 at 2.3Ghz 2048MB 414 Point

There ya go. Foldix tends to get different WUs than the windows clients do, because it's a linux client, and they've got seperate queues set up for different clients. So one could actually get QMDs on AMD under Linux, for example.
