I don't really understand modern case design where there are no drive bays. For the last few years, i have used hdd drive docks for easy hot-swapping of storage. I own two of these hot-swap docks, one for SATA 3.5" spinners (which I have my only mechanical drive in that's physically inside my case - a 14TB 7200 RPM Seagate - and one that i bought a few months ago that can be used with any size HDD or SSD providing it's been removed from any ext enclosure and the SATA connector is accessible. I also have a blu-ray optical drive/burner in one of my 5.25" bays, though I very very rarely use it but I want it in case it's needed. Can't imagine living without these devices and it's actually disturbing for me to look at any ATX tower case with no drive bays lol
