EVGA is teh suck! I wouldn't be caught dead with one of their garbage video cards! Hate sauce!![]()
When buying video cards and motherboards, I only get EVGA and ASUS.

you sure showed them....
especially with the evga gtx 260 in your sig...
well played, sir
I'm miffed with their step up program.
I checked the prices stepping up from a GTX260 about once per week and they were always through the roof, especially for vanilla cards.
Completely pointless.
(I'm in the UK in case that matters)
No beef with them apart from that.
while i'm a big fan of the company, one thing i don't like is the lack of non-stock cooling. almost all their cards come with the stock coolers, except for that period where they put dual slot coolers on cards that didn't really need it, like the 9600gso.
also, i'm a bit upset by how they are offering lifetime warranty on fewer and fewer cards these days. i can't find a gts 250 that has a lifetime warranty.
Step-up doesn't always work out, but it does sometimes! The new and significantly faster G92 8800 GTS 512 came out about 2 months after I bought the original 8800 GTS and all I had to pay for was shipping.![]()
Now if they would only do a double lifetime warranty like XFX and start making some ATI cards, they would be perfect lmao
This has bothered me as of late as EVGA, to me at least, were known for lifetime warranty by default. It appears they are now flooding the market with models that have various warranties within the same product line. Example, lately we have seen 260/280GTX's that either have 2 year or life time, only way to know for sure is lookup the product on http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/
So although I realize vendors need to cut back, it's a little more work for the customer to find out the warranty ahead of time vs finding out about a 1-2 years later.
I don't think there's anyone here who doesn't like EVGA.
Card arrived today, and it's my daughter's birthday too lol
Went from a 256MB 7900GT to a 512MB 9800GT...Thanks EVGA
Gotta run!
it just seems to me I see these type of threads every other day. People say they love BFG, great. They love EVGA, great. They love XFX, great. So I guess I can safely assume you cant go wrong with either of the three.

I sent in my 7900GT because it stopped working with the drivers they were putting out and when I did find drivers that worked with it, I would continually get graphics crashes.
They just shipped me out a replacement for free... I am going from a 7900GT to an 8800GT! Thank you EVGA!
so when evga warranty replaces your card with a newer model, are these used cards that people hav stepped up from? im just wondering what they do with the cards after they get them from someone stepping up. they cant sell them as new...
evga was just another player until around the 4200/4400/4600/4800. they were first with lifetime warranty, then first with oc/3rd party cooling not voiding warranty. first with streamlined rma service, first with step-up, first (maybe only) with pre-ship rma. because of nvidia's recent vid cards

Everything in my system is from EVGA! I've had no issues with both their step-up and warranty programs and I reside in Canada![]()
