To me, a window would kill the silence that the case was built for (well, and cooling but it probably doesn't kill the cooling). I don't know though.

My just recieved my tracking number and hopefully will see the case in around a week or less.

I agree, I'm heading more and more toward the silence end myself, and besides, you've seen one decntly windowed case, you've pretty much seen em all.

I jspent $250 building a silenced / Caseskined Antec 3700BQE last year, so I can't afford the P180, but I'm anxiously waitng for you guys opinions.

I'll deffinately consider it. I'll get take some shots of the case and such with my camera. I can't wait to get it. I feel like going and picking up some extra 120s as I plan on filling the case up just to keep perfectly safe as it's been getting extremely hot out lately.

Well don't get Stealth 120mm, they have a tendency to have a bearing rattle when mounted vertically. I'd get Panaflos as long as you don't need the RPM monitoring function.

Man, that's what I have now and I like it, but it's just too small for what I have in there and my cooling is suffering for it especially now that the ambient temps are going up with the on set of summer.
 
Arrrgh EndPCNoise had better get those black ones in soon or im gonna be pissed. Im anxious to have a nice sleak, all black case for once, no foo foo bling bling shit. Just a nice, quiet, cool case. I think my blinging of case days are over. Rather spend my money on other stuff.
 
i use a big ol metal steel beige case.
it looks like a dell but theres a monster inside!

Yeah, I deffinately don't have a need for RPM monitoring at the moment. Although I could just get come converters and plug them directly into my LanParty. I'm deffinately looking for quiet and reliable. With how how I feel, I'd rather not have any fans fail on me. heh

Yeah, I recieved mine the same day as I placed the order, which is nice. It's already on the truck departing from Forworth. I'm hoping for an early arrival but I'm willing to wait as long as it comes in good shape and all that.
 
just ordered one from Technoweb even though it says "temp out"
way cheaper then anywhere else, especially the $200 shipped endpcnoise wants for the black one

According to blt.com "real-time availability" they don't have in stock yet. Just a heads up.
 
BTX standard is around the corner and this case will be obsolete along with every other ATX case. Anand predicts transition to BTX in full force by 2007. Something to think about.

Lot can happen in two years.
 
2007 is a ways away. I buy a cas about once a year so I'm over it. For now, until BTX really peaks my interest and becomes widely used, I think I'll be alright with this case. Besides, saying something along the lines of "this case along with all atx cases will be obsolete" is about the equivilent of saying "that 2 GHz processor will be obsolete in a year" as that's pretty obvious but it doesn't mean that I have to make the switch right away or anything.

Of course they are "temporarily out" But the price is right, and so is their rep. I'll let you all know when it gets here.

Called them up and found they have no ETA... and they NEVER received it according to sales person... err....
 
That is possible. I'll have to give them a call sometime as when I ordered the site said they were availible. I also recieved an email saying "my package has been shipped" with a FedEx tracking number. Currently, the package appears to be stuck in Hutchins, TX. ah well. We'll see.
 
have any of you found a site that allows you to choose the black front case?

im only seeing the all silver.
 
I checked Fedx and mine is here in Charlotte and should be delivered tomorrow. I sure hope it's the case that was advertised on TechonWeb's site or I'm gonna be extremely pissed. :mad:

Well, I just cancelled pending further investigation on the matter. If one of you recieves one then I might just place my order again, if not, well I'll have to go elsewhere.
 
Mine left the warehouse and was scanned in and on the 8th, it left the shipping center in Hutchins but hasn't been scanned into any other shipping facility. heh... Maybe the FedEx truck was hijacked or something. Damn, you guys don't need to be jacking any trucks for the case. ;)
 
I also did notice that the weight seems about right. The FedEx tracking site says the weight is 35.3 lbs which is about right as Antec's site lists the weight at 36 lbs I believe (actually, the site says "31/36 lbs" which I assume means 31-36 lbs depending on who's carrying it ;)).

I went ahead and ordered one from ChassisHQ also since the Technoweb deal seems kinda questionable.
I'm gonna call Technoweb tomorrow and see what the status of my order is.
I'll wait a couple weeks to save $50, but I want to check on it after reading some of the comments in this thread.

thanks, I checked there yesterday cause I know they are usually one of the first places to get stuff in, but it wasn't up yet

oh well, make that 3 P180 orders :D
I'll be calling ChassisHQ first thing in the morning to cancel cause I feel a lot better ordering from performance-pcs then some place I've never heard of - plus they're a couple bucks cheaper

Yes, they ship FAST. They just sent me an e-mail at 8:34 this morning that my order has been shipped and they will have the tracking number soon.

I cancalled the ChassisHQ order which was still in processing, even though I ordered it several hours before the one from PPC.

I called Technoweb and asked when my order would be available, he said "probably about 2 weeks." If I knew it would be here 2 weeks from today, I'd probably go for it, but they didn't seem very friendly or professional on the phone, plus the PPC order has already been shipped, and I really want to get this case. I haven't had a real enclosed case in over 3 months, so I'm gonna cancel Technoweb and pay more to get it from PPC.

Can't wait for it to get here. One of the SPCR members has posted a first impressions here and some pics.
