Im thinking of ordering a Antec P-180 from Antec Bstock. But im not sure of exactly of the quality, has anyone ordered a B stock item? if yes how was it and would you do it again or is it worth the extra money to just get it new retail?
Returned stuff from retailers mostly, but at worst case I'd imagine something like what you'd see displayed at stores that people have opened and handled...maybe a dented side panel thats been dropped or a cracked window panel. I wonder what other classes of stock they handle.
Little (nor light) is not a word I would use to describe this case. The GPU duct is useless though . Actually, if you shop around you can find one of these for $100 AR or so with free shipping (newegg had them for close to this price IIRC). Might be just as good a deal as what Antec would cost you to ship the thing (I think the shipping weight was 40 lbs).
heh. I havent had to sense I got it. I think it would be a pain in the ass. It is definately not a lan partier's case. It can be done, but probably best done with some kind of dolly
Yeah I was also looking at Antecs B stock but I was wondering if they come with the powersupply that the case originally came with or is this just a dumb question and assume that it does not? I was looking at the Antec TX1088AMG on Newegg it comes with a 480W Power Supply does the B Stock still come with the PSU.
I'm not sure on the PS question. They will however, ship any B Stock cases with tested and working power supplies. Mine looks like it was never used. As a mater of fact, the case looks like it wasn't used, most likely because of the minor damage.
In any case, if the PSU doesn't work you have a 90 day warranty which is plenty of time to test it. And for that much in savings I would go with the Antec B Stock, especially if you plan on doing any mods to it. Who cares if it has a scratch if you are going to paint it anyway?
