How did you get three? The coupon expires after your first order.

I know. That's how slow they're shipping lol! j/k no a friend bought one also that I will be testing on.

W00t! same here. Mine is comming on Friday April 14th.

BTW, how heavy is your package? Is it only the CPU? Reason I ask is because I also ordered ram from them... wonder if they put them in same parcel to ship.... or... I would have to wait longer for the SECOND parcel. xD My parcel weighs 4 pounds.

You guys that got shipping confirmations, what day did you place your orders? 04-06-2006 order date here and still no shipping, why the heck did I pay for 2 day fedex? :(

Did any of you guys pay the extra $15 to get the 3 year warranty on the CPU? I did just to be on the safe side in case i sell the CPU later on in a few months. How does Monarch's CPU warranty work? You just RMA it and get a new one if it craps out? With a few of these crazy DFI boards killing CPU's you can never be too safe.

Mine is 1 pound. Opty only. 4 pounds?? I'm sure they packaged it all in one. Did you order them in the same order? (sheesh, lots of 'order'ing) I would assume the heavier package means you're getting them together. ;)

Never. :D

I think it would take even longer. I bet they RMA it to AMD who then checks it out or something... maybe I'm wrong? Heck, it'd be worth it pretty much, as long as you don't remove the ihs.

Well i've heard some horror stories about the DFI boards shooting the volts to the processor out of nowhere at bootup and it frying the processor and i'd rather just be on the safe side and pay an extra $15 instead of possibly losing $300. A processor isn't going to die in any short period of time just from overclocking unless your seriously shooting it the voltage and i play it safe with voltages. I dont try to push the CPU to its limit. I probably wont even need to raise the voltage much at all past stock if i get one of these new steppings thats good. I'm just too chicken to throw down $300 on something with no warranty past the first 60 days. It doesn't really have much resale value ither if the buyer knows he has no warranty.

lol... 1x 1GB Corsair ram adds 3 lbs of weight!

I ordered them separately but one is around noon while other is like near midnight same day.

Yuck. What DFI board do you have? I have heard that same story before. What happened when they contacted DFI about it? I'm sure DFI stuck it to them. There really is no problem with paying extra for the warranty. Chances are if you're selling it, you might make that money back (or more?) because of it being under warranty. I'm just banking on them being good steppings because I don't think anyone really cares how long the warranty is if you're gonna really push the chip. I plan on selling a couple on eBay (or here perhaps), and I will for sure be making a thread when I get the beauties.

Dunno man. Sounds sketchy to me lol.. Last time I bought a really little item, it was marked down as 4 pounds. :D Not sure what site - probably SVC. But when I got the package, it was light as a feather. Not impressed.

Ah, no no! I must clarify or Monarch is at a loss lol. :p

I just remember, the CPU was ordered together with the Zalman 7000B Cu cooler. That explains the 3 lbs... but wow that heatsink REALLY is heavy.

The RAM isn't shipped yet.... And to think it's not even on sale...

Come Friday, I will have my CPU and all, BUT my ram... lol

EDIT: ram linky "In Stock - Usually ships in 2-3 business days"

I ordered a 165 on 4-6, got my confirmation this morning, ETA is 4-14 per tracking info.

sweet!

I ordered last week on thursday too and I still havent got crap. I called them and the guy said yours should ship in the next day or two. Also said they are getting a HUGE shipment in by the end of the week, so they should get back on track to filling orders.

:( I never have any luck with this stuff... Ill be the guy who gets a cpu that was stepped on and wont work properly when it arrives.

Yeah, nothing here either.. I have 2 pending orders so hopefully they get more good CPU's

I ordered last Thursday and have yet to receive a shipping confirmation so I called a few minutes ago... Guy told me they "oversold" and they are expecting more chips tomorrow morning and will ship out tomorrow... I'm not worried about the delay but I hope we still will have a shot at some good OC'ers...

PAYPAL is the way to go I ordered today at about 10:00 EST got my confirmation within a minute and got my tracking number at about 4:00. Estimated to deliver by Friday :) that is crazy fast. I guess they had plenty of the 146 in stock though.

Looks like my 165 is on its way just got a confirmation email giving me a tracking number.
Should be here Friday,

At least monarch does one thing right, since they didn't get them shipped for a week they upgraded me to 2 day on both of them, now at least one will be here tomorrow.

That is good to hear! Mine is also coming in friday, got my shipping confirmation last night :) I already paid for the 2 day fedex from the start but it was cheap enough that I'm just happy the chip will be here this week! I'm now really really curious to see what stepping these are and how they will perform! If they're anything like the recent chips I'll be picking up a couple more for ebay purposes ;)

every time I've ordered from monarch they upgrade you to fedex 2nd day, no matter what you buy. :D

Lol, I did the same thing :D For $270, even if the chip sucks you can still get $300 or more out of it.
