even if you didn't wait the 165 coupon got used up by 1pm yesterday afternoon as I tried it around 1. patience and some will come back, even though I was pretty :mad: yesterday I got over it :p
 
Well i'm wanting to pick up an OEM 165 cause the retail 165 i got from ZipZoomFly this week wont do much over 2600MHz with less then 1.5V. I'm just using the stock cooler at the moment till i get something better in a week or two. Load temp with Prime95 right now is around 40-41C with 1.48V after a couple hours. I'm currently running 290x9. I may be able to squeeze a little more out of it after i get a Thermalright SI 120. I was hopeing for at least 2.7-2.8 but i dont think its gonna do it without a lot of voltage. I want one of those sweet ones that do 2.8-3GHz on near stock voltage :D.
 
stock cooler as in, the IHS? or you bought an AMD stock hsf to go onto the oem?

isnt it terribly unsafe to run a cpu without a HSF?

I bought a retail boxed one from ZZF for $325 and it came with a pretty good stock AMD cooler. The Opteron stock coolers are pretty decent.

AHH!!!! i wanted to get the opty 165 but i didnt have the money. I was waiting till sun, my bday for my parents to bring money to buy it. The cupon expired!!! :( and i really wanted that. Does anyone know how long are the intervals of when they post new coupons?

Hopefully we'll get lucky and get new coupons today but who knows.

just be patient. it took them 3-4 days b4 i received my confirmation email

also, u ordered right b4 a weekend so u might not receive the confirmation until 11-12

Same here, I ordered April 6th in the afternoon an Opteron 165 and 1GB of ram. They are both in the warehouse right now. All the newegg stuff I ordered same day came and set up already.(just waiting for the CPU and RAM to bring the system to life) But then again... aliens who can teleport things work at neweggs. lol :p
 
It's weird, my last order shipped the very next day, same method of payment (cc) :\

im sure if you ordered it the 5th it'll get shipped the end of tuesday or wednesday. mine spent about 4-5 days processing
 
I ordered my opty on the 4-6.
I called today asking about my order and was told that they were expecting a shipment in tommorrow.
Hopefully the cpu will ship tommorrow.

I am sure if they had to wait for a new shipment to fill the processor orders, we are hooped. Crossing fingers, but my hopes just droped like 75%
 
I wouldn't bet on it, current 2006 trend of opties has them improving with each successive stepping soooo, maybe we'll all start hitting 3ghz @ stock volts ;)

It should have been completely obvious coming into this order the shipment may take awhile.

No reason to be in a rush, take life more slowly.

Thought its not quite as bad as when I was 15 and would lose sleep over things like this, I still get the "omg I can't wait for it to get here askljflaskjdflksajdf" feeling every time I order some new goodies :)

Got some money in from eBay yesterday ready to order the 146 damn my luck the day that we didn't get any new coupons. Ohh well there is always time for waiting.

i keeps seeing everywhere that the deal has been renewed ... but apparently nobody can find the new coupons codes yet. :shrug:
 
I too ordered a 165 last Thursday from Monarch but have yet to recieve a confirmation. I couldn't wait for the 2nd system I'm building that I needed a 14x for, especially with Monarch's information black hole, so I went with a 3700+ E6 from ewiz for $188.

Jesus save me.

Obviously they have a batch of processors, make coupon codes, and then take them down when they sell a certain amount.

Then they put coupon codes back up.

This really isn't difficult to grasp.

If there aren't codes on the OP of this thread, I think its safe to assume there are currently NO WORKING CODES.

this is the first time i looked in this thread ... first time i've posted about it.

if you have pent up anger issues, then take them out on someone else.
 
yeah, it was alittle uncalled for.
