What do you mean, "you're past the reserve now"? What was his reserve? He was probably better off with a 400 dollar buy it now. That's probably what I will do (if I go the eBay way)

Reserve was $350, BIN was $450 before I bid up to the reserve.

Haha. I know what you're saying. He's always got tons of 165's on there. CCBBE's are sweeping the buyers as we speak. I'd rather wait til the 0608's die down on there and then post one up so there will be more potential buyers (aka the day of the 0608 drought :rolleyes: lol). As of now, I don't really 'need' the money, so I can wait it out a little longer.

On a hot item your usually better off starting out with a $.01 starting price and no reserve if your wanting the maximum price on your item. If the item is hot then bidders will bid and if there is a reserve it usually scares away some of the potential bidders. If the buyer thinks they could possibly get something hot for cheap then they will bid and usually they'll get caught up in the bidding frenzy and forget to stop or just get aggrevated at another bidder and try to outbid them. When you set a reserve then it gives the buyer an idea what the item is worth and then they may not bid much higher then that.

lol thanks for taking the time to explain the eBay bidders' mindset. I'm not that experienced with selling items (well, lately... I used to help my mother list items years ago), but I know what you're saying about the bidding wars...I see those happen all the time. Lots of occasions, it's downright ridiculous. They seem to think it's some kind of personal attack when someone bids against them. Halarious. :D I am in the process of making an eBay account.

So are you talking from experience about listing it for $.01? I mean, I see it many times, but it'd be nice if you weren't just some guy who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. If you do know your stuff, what else could I do to really help sell such a hot item? You should write a tut. "Listing your Monarch OEM 165 on eBay" :D

Only ordered 2, don't have too many systems getting built with these at the moment (thank god). I was considering just throwing them up on ebay after the intial overclock testing but when I realized they were just as bad at STOCK speeds I didn't want to unload such a horrible chip on anyone else. I am still waiting to hear from monarch on the RMA. I have some bad luck with them it seems, out of 4 chips ordered so far, 1 was DOA (opty 144), and 2 were the 0607's mentioned above. Love my CCBBE 0610 though :D

I don't think anyone is going to be reporting anything until tomorrow. The processors shipped out on Tuesday. Wouldn't expect any results today unless someone close to Georgia ordered one. I'll give you guys the info as soon as it's in my hands.

Mine shipped today aswell. I picked the 2 day delivery ($9 is a CHEAP) so it'll be here friday.
