I have only played a few of the classes in WoW...I bought the game in December 2004. What is your most favorite class and why ?

My first guy out of the box was a Night Elf Hunter...played him until Level55 and got sick of the weak pets I always had. Then my I really liked my Blood Elf Paladin, I did the Protection tree and he was crazy against monster mobs, easily taking on 5-6 of the same level with no sweat. Now I want to get back into the game now that my daughter is almost 5 months old and I have a little bit more free time.

I have heard alot of good things about the Druid class...please tell me more about it, and I hear they level pretty fast too ??
 
I'm a little ashamed to say it, but I just love dual-wielding fury spec warriors. I just find them tremendously fun. Also, shadow priests, for the same reason, but less so. That's just me, though.

Yea DW Fury warriors (with badass gear) were DPS machines. I'd never PvP with one though.
 
I played a druid up to 60 and decided I didn't like it. I traded it for a lvl 60 mage and leveled it up to 70, loved it the whole time. I leveled a paladin to 60 and liked it, sold it though. also had a lvl 67 warrior that was fun.

I guess my favorite was the mage probably because its the only one I was able to raid on, the warrior and paladin were equally second favorites. The druid bothered me because I was always in some shape shift form and couldn't see my weapons and gear and because I prefer casting. If I raided the paladin I would be a healer for sure. Even though I'm not crazy about melee, the warrior was just a breath of fresh air and unlike the druid, I could see my self swinging those weapons.
 
Dagger Rogue is what I'm playing and loving at the moment. Fav 1
Second fav is BE Warlock

Restoration Druid
Ele Shaman (PvP)
Shadowstep rogue

Those were my favorites, but i don't play anymore.

did it after, resto druid, and dagger rogue (those were pre-BC)

taking a break till Wrath though. it just isn't right seeing all the spriest changes and then playing it in live. feels like im missing 40% of my character.
 
My favorite was my mage. With AOE's I could kill so many mobs at once it wasn't even funny. Sometimes I could kill 15 mobs at once with my heavy frost build. I have given up my WoW addiction, but if I ever 'fall of the wagon' the first character I would make would be a mage. I love the excitement of being a glass canon.

Rogue was my favorite character for exploring with the ability to stealth into places and then all the escape tools to get away if things got hot. I filled in my whole map with my rogue (to the best of my knowledge).

Shadow Priest was great for PvP and small groups. I could switch to a healing mode or do some serious damage, but I hated getting @tells from people I didn't even know every 10 mins asking to come help them with a instance.

When I had to make money I used my Hunter and killed elite mobs about 2 or 3 levels below me. Nonstop. With no danger to me or my pet. Pigs(tanks) and Windserpents(ranged DPS) FTW.
 
My dagger rogue is my fav, but I'm also enjoying the heck out of my shadow priest.
 
hmmm i've tried loads of classes but haven't been able to stick with them as long as my Dwarf Hunter all the others I usually tend to delete at around lvl 30 :p
 
I absolutely love my Orc Warrior. It was my first build three years ago, and I still use it regularly. So much power.......
 
Before quiting Warlock was fun grouping and solo. For raids my Rogue was always highest dps that was fun :D WoW got old tho..
 
For all you Rogues...did you just dual wield 2-daggers, or dagger + sword ?? If so why ??
 
At the time when I played, I was a Mace Rogue with the Misplaced Servo Arm.
 
Affliction warlock and BM hunter ........made tradeskill farming quick and painless
 
Is everyone coming back with WoTLK release this Fall ?? Also what is the next big patch release ?? I heard mounts at Level30 :cool:

No, they ruined wow in TBC. Now they are going to try to over correct it. WOTLK will be worse.

Dagger, dagger. I used two becasue I like attacking faster, although I did less base damage , I attacked faster so it evened out in the long run. Besides I was a ambush spec rogue. , but this was well before BC came out.... when the game was still good.
 
I read a ton of players saying Wow used to be good before the first expansion The Burning Crusade released ?? WTF did they do to the game that turned off so many old school WoW players ??

There's a reason I walked around in full T2, and Blessed staff of Ahn'Qiraji at 70. Getting those items felt like an accomplishment. Now epics are so much easier to get and getting the best swords in the game means farming illidan XYZ times. At 60 getting the best sword in the game (Thunderfury) meant you were a God, that sword would destroy people with rogues or warriors wielding it.

Random Number Generator - This is the bane of my wow existance, the game generates random numbers for Hit, Crit, Fear Resist, Stun Resist, Misses, etc etc. This wasn't much of a factor pre-TBC.

Arenas - Totally ruined the game in S1 it was Warlock/Spriest. Then Warrior/Paladins started wearing shadow resist. In S3 it was Druid/Hunter. The game became too much flavor of the month class.

Like all MMO's it just got old after awhile.
 
they made the game more noobie friendly. So more new players came then old players left. Therefore, blizzard doesn't give a shit.
 
I had kinda a love/hate relationship with my Druid. Loved leveling as feral, didn't mind instancing too much as feral, raiding wasn't too bad. But I hated being feral when what we really needed was a healer. Then, the odd time when I was specced resto, could never find a tank.
 
enhancement shaman. I played one before BC, when they couldn't dual wield, when they had no gear itemization (they still don't of course, but it is better now), and they were awesome then, and even better now.
 
Affliction Lock or Enhance Shaman for PvE farming
Resto Shaman - PvE raiding
Prot Pally PvE instancing
Affliction or Destruction Lock for PvP

Mage

Warrior is my favorite by far.

They made it a lot more casual friendly. Now all that is required to get good gear is your time. I raided hardcore preTBC and got completely burnt out so I'm not extremely upset about what Blizzard has done for the game.

Now, I can play at the pace I want and get gear, albeit slower than the other people who play a lot. I have a feeling WOTLK is going to "fix" the game a lot.
 
elemental shaman for pvp is fun as hell and pve its ok (same as warlock pve - u spam 1 spell)
got gladiator mount and 7 pc t6 with him

enhance is beyond awful for pvp. stay away.

my warrior in arenasis also good times as MS spec... but fury is a joke in pvp. even my shaman as enhance can beat fury warriors.

recently rerolled horde after quitting about 9 months ago. i have a lvl 62 BE shadow priest atm, and im loving every minute of it.

also, theres a couple people in my guild that are in the alpha for WoTLK (they are GM's on the side), and according to them most people that hated TBC will like WoW again once the new expansion hits. it really does fix many of the complaints that people have about TBC.
 
by fix many of the complaints, do you mean that gear will be hard as hell to get again?
