I got a Lenovo y545 with i7 9750h (6c/12t), 16gb ram, gtx 1660ti non maxq, 15.6in IPS 60hz 1080p screen, 512gb ssd, 1tb hdd, all in at $800 recently.

It came with a 128gb ssd but I replaced it with points from the laptop purchase that covered the cost completely on Rakuten.

Great machine and quite happy with it.

I just went the dell route with a refurbished Inspiron 15 7577 even after all the upgrades I did myself it was still under $850
