On top of my friends condo. Only building with this view.

two random pics of my cats I took the other day. I was trying to get some macros of their noses but I really kind of liked these two. I find these furballs very photogenic and can just sit there and take lots of photos of them.

Quick picture with my iphone4, amazed a phone camera can take decent shots...

Did an engagement shoot for a friend from work, they're making Save-the-Date cards so they wanted a nice portait to use for it

The first location (narrow brick alley) wasn't what I'd hoped for, there wasn't enough room to set up my flash how I wanted, and I didn't bring a diffuser.

The 2nd location (the park) was better but the cold & rain got us out of there pretty quick.

In the end we just set up my lights in their living room against a beige wall and used that.

Lots of great shots already this year! I've been totally slacking on most of my photo projects so far this year, but did get to do one fun shoot the other day for some friends. One of my friends has a carpet cleaning business, and a couple others are starting a web-development company, so they're building a site for the carpet guy as a portfolio piece. I got to shoot some pics of the carpet-cleaning for his site, which was fun. We started by making a giant mess on a carpet for the "before" shots - this one picturing "pet odors" was my favorite. :)

(I cranked up the contrast in curves a bit for this version - the version on official site is a little less dark and moody)

Picked up a D3100 on Friday...First day with it yesterday. Went by my buddies house who set up his studio up in the kitchen. Can't take much credit for the dog pic. We basically told me what to set everything to, and he did all the lighting, but I snapped the pic! :p

FrEaKy, aaronearles is right, I shoot with the Canon 5D Mark II with a various L lenses.... these were taken with my 24-70 because I was too lazy to put on my 35L.... Plus there was a lot of dust floating around.
