Yes sir it is... I get similar with a serious OC on mine and an e6300 at 3.325 Ghz....very respectable score.

That's a nice score considering the clocks. My best so far is 11575 running at 670/1075, looks like Vista is holding me back a bit.

I say that's pretty good.. i'm getting 10600+ with same card only 640 mem at 674core and 954 mem and running XP.

This is my score from 2 nights ago. Which drivers are you using?

I'd say great score too since my highest is 12,900 with GTX and 6850 at 4ghz.

With the system in my sig i get somewhere over 10000 with my CPU at 2.4 and somewhere over 11000 with my CPU @ 3.0

I must find the screen shots when i get home.
Or just run the benches again.

Why is the GTX score so low. I would think it would be a lot higher than the 8800GTS scores.

Nice score. I'm getting 8203 all at stock speeds.

Fairly happy with that as I'm on a socket 939 4600+ X2 (crap CPU these days, but can't face the hassle of upgrading! )

11213 is a good score, but i can beat that with my s939 single-core-only venice 3000 and 7900GT-stock-clock-only in my sig, i scored 16000+ on 3dmark03.

Got this running 163.69 WHQL drivers and running at the specs in my sig.

This is in reference to 3d mark 06, not 03.

I would guess the GTX would score dramitically higher once the resolution is bumped up higher than the standard resolution setting.

No.

The fact that the number is higher doesn't mean anything, it's calculated differently.

3dmark03 and 3dmark06 are very different. You can't compare their scores just like you can't compare 01 to 03 or 06. Scores always go down as the year increases.

Semi OT, but anyone know when the next (dx10?) version will come out?

i know that but still 16000+ is bigger than 11213, that's what i mean, there's no way my rig beat OP's rig, i am just kidding right from the very first post.

How did you get the shader clock option on Rivatuner? I have been trying to find a way for a while... Did you flash the BIOS?

Its only in the newest version of rivatuner, and you have to set something in the advanced/power user settings I think, someone posted a how to in one of the posts here.

Yep. My 4200+ is definately holding me back big time, considering mine's a superclocked (576/1350/1700). :( That's getting fixed though after next weeks price cuts so soon all will be well. :D

OP, nice score for that card, I'd say thats what should be expected at those clocks.

I'd say great score too since my highest is 12,900 with GTX and 6850 at 4ghz.

I scored 14,081 with about the same setup. Just seems strange your over 1,000 points lower than me. The GTX and Ultra are really the same card, just a better stock HS and maybe a better batch of cores. What clocks were you running your GTX at the time? I would think WC would allow better clocks?

Scored 12000 points in 3DMark 05 and 6500 in 3DMark 06 with the first system in my sig (only one with an 8800GTS in it :p ).

06 score is a little low due to my CPU score, but my 05 score seems alright...oh look, I'm on a single core Athlon 64 and I'm only 400 points below an 8800GTS at similar clock speeds paired with a Q6600 @ 3.4GHz...I suddenly want to hold off on a CPU upgrade. XD

My 3DMark06 1.1 score with system in signature:

3DMark Score 10317 3DMarks

1x1pix.gif
SM 2.0 Score 4729 Marks

1x1pix.gif
SM 3.0 Score 5077 Marks

1x1pix.gif
CPU Score 2176 Marks

Assuming 3Dmark06 score goes up 300 points for every 200Mhz OC CPU. My system can easily beat 11000 if it were to run at 3.4Ghz. Of course, Opteron 185 cannot OC to that high.

Err who's score are you comparing to? I somehow doubt you are only 400 points shy of a C2Q system. >_>

OP, great score for your hardware.

My rig is definately CPU bottle necked now as I'm only getting 13,500 in 06 with an E6600 @ 3ghz and an MSI 8800 ultra oc.

Bluntman, that's about what my brother's rig scored before he upgraded. He had a 939 system with an amd 4000 I think and a gig of ram.

What other settings are you guys using? I've got myself a Core2 E6750 (2666/333), BFG 650i Ultra Mobo, 2gb DDR2-800 5-5-5-18, Geforce 8800GTS-320OC (576/1700) and am getting 9600 (06'). I know with some tighter RAM timings, I'd probably score higher. I'm using default settings on 3DMark and High Quality in my driver settings. Everything else set to application controlled.

Seems slightly on the low side after reading this.

ya, thats pretty damn decent. I get about 11k with my sig rig. ([email protected] & 8800 GTS 640mb @650/1620/1008) running windows vista, im sure if I wnated to I could switch back to XP and pump thta number up some more.

*This is all in 3dmark06 at default settings*

How did you get 3Mark06 score that high? Did you run it at default resolution?

That looks right for an ultra and his cpu.

Are you sure? Because the poster with E6700 [email protected] and 8800GTS 320MB only got 11312 score, while this guy with E6600 OC@3Ghz and 8800 Ultra got 13500. I always thought that at low resolution like the 3Dmark06 default setting, GTS and Ultra don't matter that much, especially with off by 2000 point?

Only if a game is CPU limited will they be the same, in actual games they will perform similar, but the ultra will always provide better fps.

...I cant even run 3dmark06 on that rez, let alone any rez i think without my computer having an insufficient memory error.... can a 9800 pro really not even handle it?

It was about 625/1050. I'm pretty sure my memory is correct and 12,900 and not 13,900. Maybe I need better drivers too.

It was all default settings, resolution, etc. Right after a fresh XP install with the .77 drivers.

I'm running 2 gigs of this stuff

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220161&Tpk=patriot+ddr2+1066

Which I've lowered the timings on since the mobo limits their speed to 800mhz from 5-5-5-9 to 4-4-4-9.

Whether or not that helped raise the score at all, I'm not sure but the CPU seems to be the biggest bottleneck in the benchmarking right now.

I really don't look much at 3dmark to tell me whether or not I'll have a good gaming experience, but I do use it to make sure that something isnt' glaringly wrong with my system. If I had scored you know... like 8000 or 9000 or lower, I would know that something was wrong but past the 10K~11K, it doesn't matter much to me. I used to be really anal about 3dmark scores though. I learned that squeezing an extra 100 or 200 3dmark points really never amounted to that much of a difference when actually playing games so after seeing a score that was in the ballpark that I knew my system should be in, I was happy.
