Finally, the waistline uncle in the modified 2010-12-10 18:07:05
Such as the title: casual run, the performance generally and GTX570 rather, beat GTX580.

A meal should let them be disappointed, I am also quite disappointed. We next week, right on the line 3 and so evaluation.

3D MARK 11 Extreme 1920X1080 4aa score is 1640

We were wrong, just received a message AMD is positioning for the 6970 hit, not GTX580 GTX570
Pricing:
HD 6970 ¥ 3299 ~ 3399 products on the bit GTX570
HD 6950 ¥ 2499 ~ 2599
6950 really do not know who was playing "

6970 is a loser ,evan to gtx570:mad: in 3dmark11.
But in real word gaming,6970 is slightly slower than gtx580
I want to point out that the moderator of chiphell.com released the pic.So don't think it's done by photoshop.
Just believe me.
If you read chinese ,just browse chiphell.com.AMD fans are crying there

Yes,loser is loser ,though the price is lower than gtx580

More information:
6970:1536sp(NOT 1920)
core :880
memory;2GB

THE END OF R600.

And this translates to real gaming... how? (the 570 for instance beats the 480 in 3dmark11, but does nothing for real world gaming)

PS - my bet is that 3dMark utilizes 5D shaders a lot more than real world gaming, hence the lower scores - when u compare 1536 to 1600 on the 5870, the increase in score isn't from clocks alone, there's some significant changes under the hood

Actually just noticed something

Why does it say NVIDIA Confidential?

ps - didnt our last thread get deleted? lol

its one way to leak information without getting punish..

ASUS this time really piss nVidia off a lot, they leak out GTX 580 way too early than it should be, that is why you don't see much ASUS GTX 580 in market, or almost none exist when launch. :p

probably because what ASUS did, AMD is holding back really hard..
They haven't give out a working driver until recently, even though there are couple sample out there couple weeks ago, but doesn't work correctly or run correctly without crashing. That is why you didn't see any information until now.

The funny thing right now is AMD is sending out wrong PDF to the reviewers, and couple 6970 that is crippled SP running.

They really trying to hide stuff this time...

PS: Magickarp is the one who told me all these and left with happy face. :p Don't ask for more information, this is all I can tell for now, everything should be lift soon since NDA is ending very soon...

So these are Nvidia internal benchmarks?

If so, it'll be interesting to see if those drivers/leaked ES's got in their hands or something, and where actual performance is

Cause those 2nd slides actually show the 6970 performing ~15-20% better than the GTX 570 which lines it up next to the 580

You decide if it is, I am not going to yes or no on this one .. :D

Not going to say if the picture is accurate or not too.... :p

Nest2001 what other information do you have, you were pretty good with GTX 580 leaks. From the Chiphell forums what's the latest scoop on the Cayman GPU's not just in 3dmark2011?

How much you guys want to bet that these are more fake slides? I'd say there is an 85% chance.

Actually, the slides that YOU(!) posted indicate otherwise.

read what I said back there.. then you should understand the purpose of nVidia Confidential truly means... ;)

Excellent find, since we already know that a 6870 CFX is faster than a 580. Like I said, I don't trust the TC's evidence, but meh.....

People believe every bullslide that pops up and take it for gospel, then use that to distort the opinion of others. Very annoying.

I read through the entire thread. One thing I will say is if the speculation remains true that the card will run very hot at load due to the increased clock rates, then I will pass on the launch versions of the 6970. The OC potential will be very minimal making the GTX 580 an overall better buy. Even if the 6970 performs slighty better out of the box. I already have two toasters with my 470's :p. So I'm hoping that doesn't turn out to be true.

I wonder what that switch & voltage overclock control will do for clocking

AMD isn't adverse to overclocking - hell they designed the 5970 around that

If nothing else, fake slides and benchmarks bring the hosting site a lot of internet traffic so there is a financial gain to Photoshop them.

being that the actual core size is less than the 5870. i doubt the temps are going to be any different. yes its built on the same 40nm process as the 5870. the chip was actually designed for a 32nm process and was modified for the 40nm process. which means its still smaller then the current 40nm GPU. even with the higher clocks i doubt the temps are going to be all that different from what we have now. if anything it should be less due to the fact that TSMC should have better processing then they did with the 5870 gpu's. but then again this is TSMC we're talking about so who really knows.

i'll wait til the real benchmarks are out. chiphell's great for leaked images but other then that i've never really seen anything come from them that have been realistic numbers that mean a damn thing to the real consumers.

still funny how worked up people get about benchmarks. everyone knows that AMD/ATI prides themselves on gaming performance and not benchmarks. where as its the complete opposite for Nvidia. its always benchmarks or nothing for them. even with the 400 series. it was lookie lookie we can play Heaven 1.0 better then the 5870. but oh wait thats right the 480 is only slightly faster then the 5870's in gaming. but no that doesnt matter because we beat them in heaven 1.0 by 20fps. oh yeah lets get them to release another version of of the heaven benchmark with extreme tesselation. yeah that will make our cards so much better than the 5870. oh wait thats right only a couple games use tesselation and only for character appearance.

i think that pretty much sums this whole thread up right there and on that note im off to play BFBC2 in dx10 mode. woot.

I bet AMD's laughing their ass off. Imagine: Putting out fake slides in an attempt make it seem like the card is slower, then BAM(!); the actual card is faster than previously anticipated. Although I'm leaning towards the notion that these are BS slides been shoved around, it wouldn't surprise me if AMD was manipulating some of this. They can't be that oblivious to all these rumors, yet remain silent.

Yeah I don't think so. If the 6970 is positioned against the 570, then what the hell is the 6950 supposed to compete with? And for that matter, wouldn't the 6950 be a slightly faster 6870?

Tell me that I am not the only one that got a headache from reading the op's post.

I will wait for a [H] review before I put out my $

Hmm, less than I expected. Price performance should be better though.
The 3dmark11 ones, yeah.
Very disappointing.

However the gaming benchmark shows the 6970 beating the GTX 580 in 9 out of 11 games.
Yes, I know the graph is normalized to a GTX 570. According to the yuan price listed there, the 6970 is also slightly more expensive. That's based on GTX 580's launch price (in yuan).

Although I never trust these "relative performance" graphs released by the card companies. 35% faster than the 570 is quite a leap.

I see hope is still strong for the 6900 series while AMD is still quiet.
The GTX 580/570 are out and nothing official from AMD.

Judging from the past 2 GPU launches, AMD doesn't really "leak" info like nvidia does. No one knew anything about the 4800 and 5800 series until a few days before the official launch.

The OP benchmark scored P7865 on the AMD 6970. Your 6870 Crossfire scored P7628. So where's the BS on that benchmark? Regardless, I'm still waiting for the official reviews when it launches.

OP is E7865, not P. The graph shows the 6970 with P5138.

So everything we see if fud then, especially info that comes from foreign countries. I wait for the official numbers and reviews.

most of these slides have already been debunked in the xs forum thread.

the 3dmark was mentioned to be running with the power setting @ 190w vs full 3d @250w, which I guess means the card was being throttled back.

Link? I'd like to quell the claims of some people.

Amazing that nothing concrete has leaked yet. Most the slides are legit but show obvious signs of tampering.

And there motivation behind that would be what again? Lose potentially hundreds of thousands in revenue from those customers waiting on the results? AMD delayed there card for a reason, to scramble and do what they can to get a few more frames out of it. You will see next week.

I personally think the delays are more down to getting the 10.12 drivers right to give it that extra edge.

who cares what this stuff says. even after it's out I'll reserve judgment until Hard does it's game appropriate testing

lol, it's like the pregame show, we like to banter ;)

All is forgiven when the card launches, reguardless of what the performance really is. :D
