I just saw these pop up today, this set adds smooth motion for the 4000 series which is pretty cool. Maybe eventually we might see MFG for the 4000 series as well somewhere down the road.

On the whole, they're fine, performance and stability-wise. Smooth motion for me is rather flakey, however, seems to force LLM to Ultra and makes the afterburner UI flicker like mad. Also causes some games to either crash or slow down.I tried these new drivers out in Stalker 2 which is a demanding game, previously I was getting 125-150fps, now I'm over 200fps for a average with smooth motion on.
I tried MFG x3 and x4 on my 5090. The extra artifacts while panning the camera around distracted me from the experience in both Expedition 33 and The Talos Principle Reawakened. TLDR - MFG is so much of a gimmick that reduces image quality enough than an old guy with glasses sitting 8 feet away from the 4K TV has to turn it off.
I doubt it. Isn't the issue ultimately related to the hardware and the ability to time the additional frames properly? I use the NVIDIA App to deploy the drivers - install, reboot. The reboot is optional but I'm a firm believer in it.How do you uninstall and install old and new drivers? Do you install the entire package or just part of it?
Do you use DDU every time? I ask because Nvidia drivers come out very often, for AMD cards this is not the case at all, they don't come out that often (at least not for my old RX 480)
That GeForce Experience comes with drivers, I have to mark it for it to be installed, I'll have to try that, I'm tired of constantly deleting old ones and installing new ones. And I install new ones not for games but for repairs and the like. If you're not into the whole NVIDIA App thing (many are - it used to be called the "GeForce Experience") - you can download the drivers manually and install over, too - no need for uninstall, install, reboot or uninstall, DDU, install, reboot or stuff like that.
I have a 9070 XT too and similarly just use AMD's Catalyst software.
Yes. GeForce App is the new GeForce Experience. The GeForce App will be very much like AMD's Catalyst in that it will prompt you when there's new drivers - you can then download them and install them at your choosing. It's something that I noticed the moment that I tried it out with the 5090 with the prior two drivers when playing Expedition 33 and The Talos Principle Reawakened. Simply panning the camera left or right showed... sizzling? Texture flickering? It might depend on the game. I can definitely tell its on, but usually I'm moving around too much to care. It's also much more noticeable with motion blur turned off in my experience. In Cyberpunk 2077 I don't really notice it but in the First Descendant I do. That may very well be the case, I don't know if having MFG is a big deal though, I have read about a number of people complaining about it introducing more artifacts at the 3x and 4x settings. It's meant for use with games that don't natively support Frame Generation, I think. It's been a bit hit 'n miss for me, but I'm on a 4080 so not the original intended audienceDoes smooth motion work with all games?

Negative, same OC profiles for each game I play (some required less of an offset than others to stay below 3.25Ghz for me).Has anyone seen their OC diminish with this driver? Used to be able to do +301MHz core on my 5090 SUPRIM and now I had to dial it back to +203. I had dozens and dozens of hours of rock stable Fortnite to attest to it.
Totally hear you but I've run tons of cards through Fortnite and it does indeed test them like no other (like passes the 3DMark gamut, etc.)...but you're right, of course!Playing one game doesn’t guarantee an overclock stability. I recently thought I had my daily down since it had been working on every damn thing for past month or so. But fired up Forza Motorsport and boom crashes. Had to tone it down for it to run properly. That is just the thing with undervolt or overclock. You are only as stable as the game you never tried with those clocks.![]()

If it passes all of the above then most likely your card is not facing internal errors while working 24/7.
I have seen ECC hitting the VRAM (mostly when tuning 5080s). It's definitely not that.Driver change can indeed cause variation in OC ability. But it is not just about playing one game. The card might be erroring out but might not be visible on screen. Not sure if that can cause long term damage to core but I do know if memory keeps on erroring out it can have some impact on its longevity.
Errors are not going to degrade or damage memory chips or the gpu itself. At worst ur game crashes or windows explorer crashes. The only thing that can damage those parts are voltage and heat. Unless you have an XOC vBios, nothing you can set will damage the video card. Its voltage and power limits are vBios clamped.Driver change can indeed cause variation in OC ability.
