5090 Production Halted

Not buying now has no impact on nvidia, but nvidia will come crawling back to gamers as soon as the AI tech bubble is over and, not only will they have no-one else to sell GPUs to, much of their already outstanding GPU commitments won't be realized either because it's all leveraged on debt, some of which is even backed by nvidia themselves either directly or through intermediaries like coreweave. That's when not buying will definitely have an impact on nvidia. I can exist longer without a new GPU than they can exist without revenue. Sure they might try to leverage the unused datacenters as some cloud gaming service, but if you buy into that, then you're the one who is a glutton for punishment.
this is just a temporary phase. supply should catch up by 2027 or 2028 but until then the priority would be AI / Data Centre (for all of Nvidia, AMD, Intel etc.)

You as a private cosumer have way to an inflated ego over your "importance".
Now goet back in line behind A.I./Enterprise/Datacenter.

Hot buying != having a spine.

You are trying to "viritue signal" like a depature in a airport.
You not buying doesn't change anything, no matter your delusions of grandeur.

Wut, all I see is an incoherent mess of words attempted to be cobbled together. Whatevs dude have a good one

You're defending this stuff pretty hard, you must be in the industry but from what I gather I don't think the competence to be in that industry is there

That's okay by me, I don't participate in things that suck. Never have and never will or have to. Already have a 5090 and I play old games so don't need to buy a gpu. I have alot of other hobbies and rarely get on the pc, so it's on its way out. Besides it's a bubble that will pop and there will be gpu's for pennies on the dollar.

What's silly is how many of yall are bothered by people having a spine and standing their ground against this bs, it's hardforum not softforum. Yall are coming off a bit bootlicky snd sheepish.

A consumer or gamer boycott of Nvidia isn't going to move the needle at this point.

Granted, I also refuse to buy a GPU right now, but that's because I'm in a good enough position for the time being and don't want to pay grossly inflated prices. The reality is though, I'm no longer Nvidia's primary consumer.

Nvidia won't have to come crawling back to gamers. Nvidia's been pushing prices higher for years now and have only grown market share in the process despite everyone complaining about it. I remember the $1200 price tag for the 2080 Ti being a big deal. It seems almost quaint by today's standards. 12 seconds after the AI supercycle is over, gamers will buy whatever Nvidia makes like none of it ever happened. You know it, I know it, and they know it. Really, the only solution is more supply coming back online to service general compute needs as well as gaming, and people actually buying the competition to drive prices down, and the reality for the latter is that most people want AMD to lower prices just so Nvidia does and they can buy Nvidia for a little bit less.
