Jeez it's not a hack, if Microsoft hadn't lumped it arbitrarily with the SM3.0 spec, then the way ATI does it would be the standard way of doing it

That's very low. I get almost a 1000 more at the same settings. And I've got a stock A64 3200+.

tried to run it on my Duron 1.8GHz + GeForce3 Ti 500 comp.....
IDirect3DDevice9::CreatePixelShader failed: Invalid call (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)
can't even run the CPU tests =\

Oh well, at least it can play ut2k4, that's what really matters.

JoeP? if it is, i'm assuming your 8500le is getting a nice round score of 0. get a couble of those and throw a whole number infront, and you have yourself a decent score!

i got a shitload of money coming for my bday, plus i go $4k for graduation. gonna get an x800pro, and then sell that for the R500 in Q1 2005.

Why would you get an X800 Pro over a GT. A Vivo I can understand if you're going to flash it, but the vanilla Pro? Thing get's bitch-slapped by the GT.

I actually am running a 7200 series right now, 32 MB PCI Radeon goodness babeh. 0 score for 3DMark03 and 05! And it's cuddles, from eqii.com, not JoeP, foo.

No Vivo here, still beat your score without the "fix", and no flash

I can see where you're coming from though, you only like benchmarks when your card can beat an ATI, makes sense :rolleyes:

? sorry, but the GT wastes the pro in all game benchmarks also well noted with aa AND af.

Synthetic benchmarks who cares, your card/system might have less running in the background, my gt system only gets 4434 but I have tons of shit in the background.
 
rancor: sireric confirms that there are some other performance enhancements in the beta driver but the main thing is the mem bug fix.

Ah cool thx for the heads up :) Just didn't make sense to me that much of a difference from the pci -e and agp and the agp being faster lol.
 
i think its been fixed..i have it and absolutely no problems, i dont have an a64 cpu but all those programs that said wouldnt work with it..work fine =/ i think through small updates they've fixed it
 
Vanilla x800 pro, no volt mod, no pipe mod, 12 pipes, 585/575 on a AMD 64 3200+ @ 2.4ghz = 5,592, that rapes the GT no? x800 pro basicly ties the GT in far cry btw, and the x800 pro beats the 6800 ultra in UT2004. Also with the 8.07 drivers that fixed the memory allocation bug with the 256MB cards didn't just up my 3dmarks, I went from 58.0FPS @ 1280*1024 doom 3 time demo, to 66.4 FPS, thats quite the increase, and in the 4.10's with AI, it has a better lookup code which will put it closer to around 75-80FPS, not bad no?
