3080 Ti EVGA Notify Queue

Even if I get a card (which lol, at this point it seems like its a paper launch), I'm pretty sure this will be my last EVGA purchase. The very RNG nature of this launch, as well as how pisspoor their software engineering seems to be should raise several red flags, but with a GPU shortage, what can ya do.

Apparently Newegg had some security holes in their shuffle for MONTHS and people created a Discord server to share links to buy the cards.
If one person won an item, they could share some cart glitch and other people could buy it too. So who knows how many cards these people scammed off the shuffle.

As far as EVGA goes, it's a shitty system but who is doing a better job? The queue has been the best thing for us, especially since EVGA was the only company to keep MSRP for 5+ months for people already in queue. Even their 3080 Ti's are much, much lower priced than I expected. Then you also combine the Wheel discount + Associate discount and they're even cheaper.

Also I've had multiple queue pops and literally ZERO shuffle wins. People who are willing to log into their site and hammer the queue to register fast deserve cards sooner. Randomized shuffles are fine, but people who try harder deserve priority.

EVGA is the champ in my book.

I mean, I've been in queue since mid September for a 3080 from EVGA with no success. It's been my best chance, but it's been a train wreck.

I don't have any direct experience with EVGA software engineering. Is it bad/worse than other AIBs? Why?

holy $hit evga support people are legends, not 3080ti related, but I missed a notification way back in sept on a 3080 XC3 Ultra, saw a thread that someone msg'd support and they gave him a courtesy bump in the queue so I figured why not and emailed them and they gave me the same. 3080 on its way. fu you scalpers and miners.

what! when did this happen? So did they instantly send you a notify email essentially?

yep, they said just a one time thing, so If you had like 5 missed I assume they'd only bump you for one.

You have already entered for a notify on the following date/time: 6/3/2021 7:53:42 AM

Enewt compiles the latest times reported and the end of each day Mon-Fri. Not super accurate but close enough.

Sorry for the formatting but I'm too lazy to change it.

I assume his was for 7:28 AM PT, the air cooled cards haven't moved past 7:30 AM yet and the next group starts around 7:40 AM.
Reading their forums seems the initial drop they got from evga has gone out, now they’re waiting on a restock to happen.

I would expect the 12G-P5-3967-KR model to trickle in weekly. The other cards might be a long wait between restocks.

Do the EVGA queues for some of the older cards even move at all?
The most expensive version of each air cooled model used to move once in a while but it's been pretty dry lately except for 3070 and 3060. I imagine when they release the LHR models some might move again.

what time did you seriously sign up? its been days and i havent gotten shit...I got in 35 mins AFTER...
my notify email came at 9:28 central, or 728 pacific..
I was wrong about my actual notify time though, I just checked and it was 6/3/2021 7:24:52 AM PT
sorry for the mistake earlier.

I've been on the EVGA 3060 Ti list since like forever, but according to the unofficial list there are still lots and lots of guys ahead of me. :(

The EVGA queue list moves as stock supplies replenish. I got my launch day queue 3090 and 3080 already, but that took almost 4 months and 6 months for it to happen. The key thing with EVGA is that they always keep a reserve of cards for the expected failure rate of a particular line in order to keep up with RMA issues, so stock is divided between demand and maintaining some inventory.

Thanks for the explanation and setting my expectations, but it seems that they aren't producing enough cards to satisfy total demand. Plus, the stores are doing a crap-job of managing scalper purchases.

So is it more or less confirmed that the evga system didn't register any notifications between 7:30 am and 7:40 am? That was my impression and you're implying that as well, but I can't recall seeing anything "official", other than not seeing anyone post that they had a notification confirmation in the 7:30s.

Nothing officially confirmed, but going on what others have posted I haven't seen a timestamp in the 7:30's yet. There may be some more detailed trackers floating around on Reddit that I haven't seen but between here and the EVGA forums I haven't seen any.

Understand that the time stamps between cards are different. I think the Hybrid is at 741 (maybe less people ordered those) while the FTW3 Ultra is at 728. I am sure that SKU is going to have 5+ cards per minute, especially as we get closer to the 0800 (which seems to be when more and more people were saying they got in), where as the Hybird seem to have 1-2 cards every minute or so.

Information is only as good as those reporting. Gotta take into the count of the 10’s of other folks who entered and walked away not caring about the queue.

This is one of the very few times, I want a hybrid. I could do a hydro as well, seeing as I have a water cooling setup I'm not using.

Ok, thanks. My understanding as well. I'd guess the queue system took a dump for those 10 minutes and that's why 7:30 times haven't shown up. Otherwise it seems like someone would have posted a time somewhere.

Right. Selfishly I'm trying to get an idea as I'm at 7:41 for the 3967 FTW and 7:45 for the hybrid- both potentially in the "next group" which could be next week or next month, depending on how things move. And not sure which one I'd prefer yet- do I take the 1st one that comes up? Can't afford both. Just need to wait and see how things progress beginning Monday. The tracking sheet maintained by enewt on the evga forums (Basstek referred to above) is very helpful in this regard, but as you've stated it is only as good as the information he is provided/can find.

I feel ya, looking at data from the 3080 launch... Complied on Reddit shows that last time it took about 30 days to clear up 7:28 to 7:50 (my time).

Not sure how it's going to be this time with the amount of new "Elite Members," scalping, mining, and general materials shortage.

I held out long enough to grab a new CPU at MSRP, should be able to hold out on the GPU because I am not "needing it." It would be nice to have. I would like to properly drive the 38" AW Ultrawide sitting on my desk.

If I had a 2080ti like in your sig, at this point I think I'd just wait for 4000 series to not think about GPUs anymore.

Yah... 2080 dude... you dont need to upgrade every year.. the performance increase isnt that massive... I'm coming from a 10 series so its 25-30% increase

I would if I still rocked the Asus PG279Q, but I moved up to the AW3821DW and I have noticed a lot of lost performance that would be gained back by the 3080/Ti/3090.

They probably don't make many of them hydro cards. I haven't even seen them for sale outside EVGA's store.
